Your events bloom beautifully at Rose Haven! Event spaces and an in-house bakery in a beautiful historical building, surrounded by antique rose gardens. Not only are we a beautiful wedding venue, especially for elopements, micro-weddings, and smaller weddings up to 150, but we are also ideal for all the peripheral events for weddings--engagement parties, showers, and rehearsal dinner spaces.

e have the perfect spaces for ALL types of events from birthdays to anniversaries, corporate meetings to family holidays, baby showers to celebrations of life, and everything in between. We want to be the dream space to host your most important life occasions. We are just outside of Southwest Austin, super easy to get to, and are a 6600 square foot freestanding building with free onsite parking.

The original part of our building dates back to the 1860's & it has a colorful history. We have fully restored it into a beautiful bright venue, all white inside & a gorgeous sage green outside, to compliment our antique rose gardens that surround the grounds. We are also very flexible and versatile. You are welcome to transform our beautiful neutral spaces any way you choose, and are the perfect backdrop for your vision.

We have so many connections with INCREDIBLE, vetted, professional vendors, so we have a comprehensive list of preferred vendors and you can choose any of them in complete confidence, or bring your own under our open vendor policy.

I had SO much fun at the Dripping Springs Women's Club luncheon today! It’s tradition at the holiday luncheon for members to decorate the tables and wear fascinators.

I volunteered for a table this year, and in honor of Rose Haven’s Tea Parties, I chose ‘Miniature Christmas Tea’ as my theme. I made each of the little teacup miniature scenes, and the gravity-defying teacup centerpiece. It turned out really cute!

And I felt like Vivian from Pretty Woman going to the polo meet in my outfit, lol. I borrowed the awesome fascinator and it was so cool!

The tables were all done so well! Absolutely beautiful in so many themes!

What do you think of the Pantone Color of the Year for 2025, Mocha Mousse?

I’m not a huge fan of it on its own, but I think it can be a nice neutral combined with other colors. I actually love brown tones in clothing to wear myself, especially a darker rich chocolate brown. My favorite winter pants are a lovely bronzey-brown velvet.

I think chocolate brown looks pretty combined with soft pink or robin’s egg blue.

The things that you don’t factor in for an event that cost you hours of work later that you don’t get paid for: cleaning the mud off the legs of dozens of chairs because it rained all weekend. But at least we were able to have the ceremony outside because it stopped in the nick of time! So yay! But spending my entire afternoon cleaning chair feet that sunk in the mud wasn’t on my bingo card, lol.

Oh wow, wow, wow---what a beautiful video of one of our recent weddings! Elena & Karlo are the sweetest, most inspirational couple ever! They were planning a wedding at another venue, but found out less than 2 months before their wedding date, that the other venue had accidentally double booked their date, and could no longer accommodate them.

I happened to see her post on Facebook pleading for help, we happened to have that one particular day open--even though the days before & after were booked--& we were right in their same budget! The stars aligned and we both got to bless each other. I am truly humbled and grateful to have been able to host this incredible wedding.

Funny story:

I had a fortuitous turn of events today. I was shopping at a thrift store called IRep, looking for some items to add to our decor closet at the venue. And they had a ton of these beautiful crystal tea light holders. I asked how much they were if I bought all of them, negotiated a bit and got a great price on them.

Then to my surprise, she leads me over to one of those free throw electronic basketball games and she said they have a promotion where you can get up to 20% off. You get one percent off for every goal you can make up to 20.

I just grinned and didn’t say anything.

The clock ran out at 24 and I was still swishing them.

Oh, by the way, I didn’t mention I was All-State and MVP in high school. 🏀🏀🏀🏆🏆🏆

From now on, I’m gonna need every store to have a basketball discount game!

I had to join in the theme of our client’s 80’s themed party. I’m an 80’s baby—-born in ‘69, dude! In my authentic 1987 jacket I bought from my first job, working at The Closet, an awesome 80’s clothing store, in Georgia Square Mall, for $2.83 an hour! 😂. Back then, that could buy gas, food and badass jackets, lol. My earrings are from high school. And yeah, my big hair is still an 80’s cliche—all natural curl! This is what happens if I don’t wrestle it into submission! 🤣

It’s a Double Disco weekend! Melissa of Events by Poppy and Co is hard at work making a funky disco greenery chandelier! TONIGHT!!! we have Disco Karaoke with DJ A-Wall of Bat City Beats rocking the house and bringing the ENERGY! Everyone is welcome! Free admission and BYOB! All ages welcome. 7:30 pm Friday. The Antique Rose Veranda garden. I personally hauled in all the soil with a wheelbarrow, amended the soil, planted every single rose (& other plants), and babied them through last summer's absolutely brutal heat and drought with my own two hands. We had a few casualties but overall everything has thrived. There's a saying in rose gardening: "First year, sleep. Second year, creep. Third year, leap!" If this is just 'creep' year, I can't wait for 'leap' year next spring!
