Tongue Creek Ranch is beautifully situated at the base of the Adobe Buttes on the southern side of the Grand Mesa in Austin, Colorado. The 70-acre ranch has just over 40 acres in hay and alfalfa with seasonal cattle grazing in the fall and winter months. Whether you come to stay at one of the rental properties, board your horses, get married or host a special event, we welcome you to enjoy the beautiful setting of Tongue Creek Ranch and the incredible sites of the Western Slope!

Tongue Creek Ranch is still accepting weddings for Spring and Summer 2025 (even sooner shotgun weddings - haha).

A TCR wedding is unique in that we have on site Airbnb's that can be rented for the weekend festivities right here at the venue. Also, we boast the most amazing barn chandelier of all time.

Here is how the weekend normally progresses. The family starts bringing in food and flowers on Wednesday to store in our commercial walk in cooler. On Thursday, several in the wedding party start mulling around setting up lights, speakers and making final plans. The set up crew meets the venders for the tent, dance floor and chairs on Friday. Friday evening the family and wedding party are on site for a rehearsal dinner and evening camp fire. Don't miss our miniature donkey with a drink tote roaming around. Several family and friends stay on site in one of our five star Airbnb properties. Saturday morning all of the preparations are finalized after a morning brunch and the wedding celebration takes place. Then, those who wish, can take the hay ride to the barn for dinner and dancing until the early hours of the morning. Sunday everyone gets up late and the clean up crew breaks down.

We have some open corals here at TCR.
Local Horse Boarding:

Beautiful and safe horse boarding facility located 10 min from Delta, 15 min from Cedaredge, and 25 min from Hotchkiss.

Full board (can include hay for $120/mo), full size rodeo arena, 68-ft round pen, trails and hay fields nearby. Care takers live on property and provide impeccable care for horses. Stalls, covered turnout, pasture all available. Board begins at $150/month.

Tongue Creek Ranch is a 26-horse, full service boarding facility complete with tack rooms, trailer parking, natural springs, covered shelter in pastures, and lots of shade trees. We grow premium orchard grass hay on site, and can source alternative hay for clients.

*Cleaning 7 days a week
*Administer meds and supplements as needed

Raking up the front field for cow hay. Putting in big rounds this time. We lost it because of rain for the horse hay market. Big hit here at TCR, we lost a lot during first harvest too. Still fun to cut, rake and bale.
Bright side is that come next year we will be able to eat one of our own cows that ate our own hay with our own brand - B Bar B on it.

The Tongue Creek Bulls. It’s winter and the back field and middle field are hosting our yearly return guests. The boys will be making their appearance from now until March. Red Bull, Angus, Ringo, Mike and Two Ton. Sure is good to see the boys at Tongue Creek Ranch again.

Well the neighbor has come to get the Bulls, the drama was so fun! Can’t wait till next year. Now onto haying season.

This is what we call ranch drama. A couple of horses got out into the utility raod. Now every horse knows this is out of the norm and they all got yacko. I guess when you’re a horse these thing are exciting!!!
