The girl who started it all. 💕
Let me introduce you to my beloved Kya.
It was 2002 when I went to help a friend look for their lost dog at a pound in Denton, TX. I saw this sweet girl frightened at the back of the kennel. Our eyes and hearts connected instantly. I knew she was coming home with me. She went everywhere with me - she was my ride or die. If I ever showed up anywhere and Kya wasn’t with me their first question was, “Where’s Kya?”. 👯‍♀️💖 Haha!
She was with me during my formative years into adulthood. She was beside me in times of laughter and tears and hardships and heartbreaks. Gosh, I’m starting to get emotional thinking of her. My love for her is as strong as it’s always been. When I go into the ground her ashes will be with me. 💕
When planning my wedding day I knew Kya had to be there. It definitely simplified the wedding venue options! Lol! To the TX beach we went.
Oh my gosh I just LOVED having her there!
This was 2013 and my brother cared for Kya during our ceremony. She did great like always and laid down right by our feet. When we got back to Austin a lightbulb went off in my head.
