Celebrating 7 years of marriage today with my sweet husband. 🤍
I was chatting with a bride this week who was deciding between a January or a March wedding date. She asked if she should consider spring instead of winter so that the weather was better.
Can I tell you a secret? Our January wedding seven years ago was 75 degrees and sunny. Today, the very same date, gave us the first snow in central Texas in almost two years.
Spring of 2024 was the rainiest wedding season I have ever seen. Our team executed more rain plans in that season alone that we had in our entire careers combined.
I don’t say this to scare you! But instead of worrying about what the weather will do at your wedding, let’s talk about what you can control.
In the spring, you can count on lush green backdrops and wildflowers in March. In the summer you can plan around long sunlight and gorgeous sunset photos. In the winter, a cold night is almost guaranteed, so pick out a cute layer or custom jacket that you’re excited about.
Enjoy your extra day of wedding planning, and stay warm out there, friends!
