Final standings for overall for the MN BBQ Society Backyard Division...we took 3rd!!! Had such a fun year competing and hanging out with all the other teams. Congrats on a great year everyone!

We finally had the opportunity to put our new smoker to the test! We catered a wedding serving brisket, pulled pork, BBQ beans, Mac n cheese and chorizo queso. Having all this extra cooking space made for a smooth cook. It was a really nice day for a wedding, even got some free labor out of the bride and groom who helped with serving!

We're looking for more opportunities like this so if you're looking for some delicious BBQ for any sort of event, don't hesitate to reach out!

The competition BBQ season has come to a close for Marty Party BBQ as we competed in our last competition at the LIVIN Festival in Elk River. We went out with a bang with a 5th place call in chicken, 4th in ribs and our first ever RGC! Congrats to the rest of the teams who heard their name called as well. Looking forward to more competitions next year!

Marty Party BBQ competed at Bent Brewstillery in Roseville,MN this weekend. We took home a 2nd place call in chicken and 5th overall! Congrats to all the teams who heard their names called! We also had an honorary team member join us Saturday for the cocktail contest and his first rush of adrenaline with a competition turn in. Beyond that we served ribs and smoked queso to the public to help raise money for the Invisible Wounds project. A great event paired with great weather made for an overall phenomenal day!

We're out at Bent Brewstillery in Roseville, MN for a competition today. Come on out for some ribs and a wide variety of side dishes including our delicious smoked queso starting at 2:00 this afternoon!

It's been a while but Marty Party BBQ was back at it with the Boomer Backyard BBQ contest in Canton, MN. We had a good day with a top 10 call in chicken, ribs and overall! We even had our youngest fan in attendance showing off the new apparel! Congrats to all the teams who heard their name called, see you all again soon!

Marty Party BBQ does catering! We typically post about our BBQ competitions but we also do catering and had the pleasure of serving a dinner for a work group this past week. We competed at the 1st annual Smoke & Fire competition in Stanley, WI this past weekend. Our cook went well and we were rewarded with a 5th place call in chicken! Ribs didn't turn out as well, ended up in 14th and 8th place overall. The competition was run very well and we were excited to see some teams we haven't seen yet this. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Marty Party BBQ competed in Mankato, MN this past weekend. The day started off well with some sunny skies but turned into a lot of rain in the afternoon. We powered through and felt good about our turn ins but struggled a bit on results. That's alright though, we'll move on to the next one! Looking forward to competing in Stanley, WI next weekend!

We had a busy weekend of BBQ this past weekend at the Bringin Home the Bacon competition in West Salem, WI. We started off Friday with a 2nd place call in the one meat rib burn and followed up with a decent performance on Saturday with a 9th place chicken call, 17th place in ribs and 13th overall. The REAL excitement came on Sunday as we finished with our first ever Grand Champion! We placed 4th in chicken and 4th in ribs which was good enough for overall GC. We couldn't be happier with how the weekend finished up for us! Congrats to all the teams who recieved calls in both Backyard and Masters on this long weekend of BBQ. Now for a little time off before our next competition where we hope to continue our successful performances!

Marty Party BBQ had our first competition this past weekend at the Smokin In Steele contest in Owatonna. We were very happy with our turn ins, especially for our first competition this year. We weren't lucky enough to get a call but did place 4th in chicken, 4th in ribs and 4th overall for the day! Now onto the next contest, Bringing Home the Bacon in West Salem! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

We've got our first competition of the year coming up this weekend and thought it would be good to get a test run in to make sure we still knew what we were doing! Chicken and ribs turned out very well with a slight tweak to our rib recipe and we're ready to go! With competition season kicking off for us, we also had to stock up on charcoal. Need to stay consistent this year and this charcoal will help us do just that!

We've made it a point to stop at BBQ restaurants anytime we're in a new location and Atlanta was no different. We stopped at Rodney Scott's BBQ to try out some of their whole hog BBQ. Loved the meat, had a nice spice to it and the sides were great as well! If we weren't traveling back with just carry ons we would have brought back a bottle of each of the sauces they offered which were a great compliment to the pork!
