~ Cinnamon Churros or Mango Mini Cupcakes? Cinnamon Churros, especially when they sit so cute on top of our Churro con Abuelita Brownie Bites!
~ How many years have you worked at La Pera? 3 yrs as a FT employee, but have been working with La Pera since before the pandemic – around 4 1/2 yrs total
~ Your favorite drink to keep cool in the Texas summer? Passionfruit Iced Tea or if I’m relaxing by the water on a day off then any Texas-sized Margarita hits the spot
~ You’re stranded on a desert island and can have only one kind of taco, what would it be? I’m a sucker for seafood so I’d definitely go with a shrimp taco most definitely – on a blue corn tortilla with some slaw & lime to be exact!
~ Your favorite dish at La Pera? This is a tough one for me because I literally love ALL of our menu but if I have to pick one dish I’ll go with Chili rubbed Salmon…for today. The poblano cream sauce is so good I could drink it!

We rarely make it into our event photos so we’re taking some space on our grid to introduce our team — the people who make the magic behind events 🍐
First up, meet Rafael! As our Co-Founder and Executive Chef, Rafael’s childhood food memories, family recipes and travels in and around Guadalajara, Mexico have inspired so many of the textures and flavors that is known for. He also has a past as a brewer and makes a killer home-brew!

Florist Spotlight: Grand Lady Floral 🌻 With their seasonal focus and environmentally-friendly farming practices, we love and the beautiful, unique arrangements they bring to life! These whimsical bouquets and wall installation they designed for Lauren & David's Big Day had us swooning. Also, their primary supplier is their OWN local flower garden nestled in the lovely property just outside of Austin!!

Florist Spotlight ✨ arrangements always have a beautiful life of their own and we're blown away everytime! The Hill Country studio (located ) create gorgeous, distinctive arrangements, inspired by the native Texas wildflowers and landscape.
