As many of you are aware we have implemented a feature element to Kick Butt Music Open Mic. The feature element has been going on for 6 months and we've had 6 amazing features so far. It's in its infancy still, but we expect it to evolve over time.

Here's the break down for right now.

First and foremost this is not a contest, and we don't "play favorites". This is an opportunity we've provided to highlight the talented, dedicated performers who are a part of our Music Open Mic community.

We choose all our features from our Kick Butt Music Open Mic Community. We're not talking people who just show up once or some rando "off the streets", we mean those who are dedicated to Kick Butt, the Music Open Mic, and the community we're building.

In addition to our vast local scene, we have a collection of national and international performers, some of whom we only see once or a few times a year. In an effort to include them we may have a perfomer come through who isn't familiar to you, but is still part of our Kick Butt Music. Music Open Mic community.

We like to represent all genres of music and the diversity of the performers on stage, it doesn't matter to us if you wanna play covers or originals. We just wanna hear you play music.

Other than that it's pretty arbitrary.

If you're interested in being a part of our community and a Kick Butt Music Open Mic feature then come check us out every Thursday! Sign up is at 5:30p, show runs from 6-9p. Each performer gets 10 minutes or 2 songs, whichever comes first.

We'd love to have you as a part of our community.

Kick Butt Music Open Mic is on for tonight! No feature again this week, so it'll be a real laid back night.

Next week, 9/19 and the week after 9/26, there will be no Open Mics.

But we'll be back at the beginning of October, 10/3, with new features and same ole Open Mic business!

WHEW. I just transcribed 90 email addys😫 from paper to the laptop. All I have to say is some of y'all really need to work on your penmanship because I was reading some serious chicken scratch and my eyes hurt meow.🐔📝😵🤷😝😹
