Some days are harder then others when it comes to creativity! And floral design is no exception!

Here are a few ways I get out of my creativity funk whenever it comes to flower arranging...

✅ Make a flower arrangement for absolutely no reason! That’s right. I take my butt to the store and buy flower just because and I make W H A T E V E R my little heart desires.

✅ I play around with textures and colors that might be out of my comfort zone just to see what happens!

✅ I go to the store and buy a new vase. Working with a new or unique shaped vessel forces you to try something different in your designs!

Do you ever wonder how floral designers desire on the shapes of their arrangements?

Floral design is truly an art form all its own. But, there is a method to the madness!

In modern floristry, there are tons of arrangement shapes because a lot of the traditional shapes are being combined to create new + modern looking floral arrangements.

I thought I would share a post about some of the common traditional centerpiece arrangement shapes so that next time you see an arrangement you can impress your friends with all your floral design knowledge!

⚡️TOP FLORIST⚡️ At my in-person Two Day Course happening April 24th and 25th we will take a field trip to @austinflowerco! You will get a set budget to shop for your flowers as well as a time limit of 30 minutes. Then, we head back to the studio where you get 45 minutes to design and construct your centerpiece. This exercise is meant to show you the correlation between your time spent and your money made! The arrangement pictured is one of the awesome creations made by a past student during this activity! ⚡️Behind the Scenes⚡️ WEDDING ADDITION 👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏽💒 I always preach to my students to get super niche within what they want to do within florals. That is why I focus on just teaching workshops. And because my workshop business is so busy I no longer do traditional weddings. However, sometimes I get the chance to work along side my floral designer friends who do!
