On January 17, She Was Here, a play about real Latina women in Austin, premieres at Austin Playhouse's new interim theatre space off of West 22nd Street. Although the story is fictional, it was compiled through interviews, making it a truthful rendition of Austin across 70 years.

Austin Playhouse is thrilled to announce the cast of the Theatre for Youth production of TOMÁS AND THE LIBRARY LADY by José Cruz González! 📖

After a pause due to the pandemic, we are thrilled to revive the Theatre for Youth program this year with this inspiring true story of Tomás Rivera that celebrates the love of reading, imagination, and creativity. Austin Playhouse believes that theatre should be accessible for all. Student Pick-Your-Price tickets start at FREE for Theatre For Youth productions!

Directed by Education and Community Engagement Manager Sarah Chong Dickey, the cast features Bernadette Nason, Diego Arroyo Aceves, and Erika Santana!
