Thank you to everyone that made this wonderful event possible, including and not limited to: The Driveway Series, Leadout Foundation, Spectra Racing, Trek Austin, Specialized Austin, Shimano, Wahoo, Violet Crown Cycling and all the amazing women that faced the unknown!

Everyone should look back with pride at your first time of racing a bike and show off your photos proudly! I did my first Driveway race in 2010 and wish I still had those silly photos of me from back then.

Enjoy and full set available for free to download from the link in my bio!

Tulsa Tough in 10 photos.

It’s hard to pick 10 moments from a weekend that was a complete blur. Things were a little easier this year because I wasn’t racing or reporting and I even rode the 70 mile fondo on Saturday.

I have a lot of respect for all the athletes coming to entertain the masses, risking their limbs, egos and bikes. But most of all, I appreciate and thank all the efforts of the volunteers and the good people of Tulsa.

As long as you will have us, Tulsa, we will keep on coming back to spend a long weekend together and forget about real life if even for a Soundpony night.

See you next year!

Finally made it out photograph a festival again. I first attended UTOPIAfest in 2017, which was the last year it was in Utopia, Texas.

Flash forward to 2023, and I decided to attend the last UTOPIAfest at Reveille Peak Ranch just outside of Burnet, Texas.

Decided to make it more of an adventure and bikepack with a good friend there, exponentially making the trip even more memorable (100 miles with surprise hail, flooding and friends along the way).

Find a way to share your creativity with the future leaders of this world! The opportunity that MINDPOP gave me along with the National Endowment for the Arts grant I received a few years ago are experiences and memories I’ll forever treasure!

MINDPOP and the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department, Museums and Cultural Programs, with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts, are excited to offer the Emerging Teaching Artists program (ETA). The purpose of ETA is to increase the number of artists of color and artists with disabilities working in classrooms across Austin. Successful applicants will come from these communities, have a clear interest in teaching arts to children or adults, and demonstrate a strong creative/arts background. The deadline to apply is March 8, 2023, at 11:59pm.

After collaborating on a photo shoot with Mrs. Glass late last year, we agreed to work together to produce a music video, which is the first I have ever directed! I also took on all the shooting of both video and stills and then edited the video to what you see here.

I have been wanting to do more video work in 2023 and I’m honored that Mrs. Glass entrusted me, meanwhile helping me produce the video as well digitally recording and then mixing this new track.

We hope you enjoy “Biding Time” as much as we did creating it.

Find the full video at https://youtu.be/398Nbfp9WwI or in my bio and take a listen to Mrs. Glass online at mrsglassmusic.com.

Finally finding the time to home in my video edit skills in the new year. New year, new me!

I’m very excited (but also, a little nervous) to debut the first music video I have directed, filmed and edited in collaboration with who had the vision and has helped produce this project.

“Biding Time” also features the upright piano that was in my childhood home, thus making this track exceptionally special to me.

Look for my first video coming soon!

As the year winds down, I’m finally able to get back to doing things I really love, like making portraits of really excellent people.

Making art is what is keeping the world together, let’s not lose sight of that.

09/08/2022

It’s taken me a long time to find the words for my latest bikepacking adventure, , where I decided to bikepack from Pittsburgh to Baltimore via the GAP and C&O Trail systems, fully self-supported.

Initially, I was just looking for a simple and relaxing bike adventure with a stop at Sandy Point State Park in Maryland, where I would recreate an image you can see first in this set.

You see, a long ago, my dad gave me a book by German photographer , called ‘Eye On America,’ where I would flip through each of the images and imagine myself going to those places and taking those same photos. Basically, this book is the reason why I became a professional photographer.

The image of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge at sunset that Michael took so many years ago, rich in vibrant lavenders, pinks and purples has haunted my imagination and sparked me to dream for my entire life; I knew I had to visit this spot one day.

Nothing was more life-altering and incredible than riding my bike the 420 miles to the exact same spot to take the exact same photo. Along the way I made amazing friends, saw beautiful parts of the United States and dreamt of that exact MOMENT in time where I would recreate that magical moment.

I’ll never forget the actual moment I arrived at the bridge as a late summer storm rolled in. I started crying, knowing full well the reason why I came to take this photo wasn’t to recreate the same image, but to appreciate the 30+ years it took me to get to this exact spot in my life.

I have accomplished so much in this lifetime and EVERYTIME I think of my successes, I beam with pride in my work. And I look forward to the next adventure EVERYTIME because adventure is what drives the beat of my heart.

So, where are we going next? I am just getting started. Want to come along? Let’s go.

Enjoy some of my favorite people and smiles. Nothing beats the community that overcomes low points and picks up right where we left off like time stood still. Meanwhile, everyone got so much faster!

I feel like we need a little bit more happiness in our lives, and it’s time for me to dig back into my passions to share good memories and the hope for more adventures back into our lives.

Bikepacking has changed my life for the best and I’m so grateful for the experiences and places I have been, including Big Bend NPS, Northwest Arkansas and North Central Texas all via bike over the last few years.

More importantly, I have been able to tell these stories with the spoken word, the written word and here in visual form, my favorite medium.

I hope you find some comfort in these tough times and maybe I can spark a small sense of wunderlust and the need for adventure, and love, in your soul and spirit.

Stoked to splash my way into another UNBOUND experience this weekend, although this time I’ll be behind the camera/mic.

Say hi if you see me there and if you happen to see Peter Sagan, ask him to teach me how to wheelie so I can add it to my rider resume.

Screenshot from our preview trip last month with Flo. Cold, wet and most of all, great fun with a great crew.

Me really enjoying my best life!

Things have been exceptionally great as of late. I have been getting back to picking up the camera, spending time with friends and racing bikes, all things you know I enjoy full-hearted.

I’m not sure if anyone will ever understand the elation I have in this photo; I had just gotten done “racing” 280 miles in East Texas at the 2nd Annual . This ultra bikepacking race was on various terrains and I had trained up to riding the distance in one-go, meaning not sleeping for upwards of 36 hours!

In 35 hours and some change, I took 3rd place overall woman in the “Slowdown” category. Never would I have thought staying awake and riding my bike all night would be such a rewarding (but obviously challenging!) experience!

Can’t wait to take on the 380 mile distance next year! In the meantime, let’s get geared up for .bike next month!

Amazing capture by .johnston8. Thank you for sharing in my 9pm sleepless finishline stoke!

I’d say racing is alive and well in Austin, TX.

Just a reminder that you are loved, cherished and meaningful. Just a reminder that you can find reward and success with hard work.

And most of all, just a reminder a damn hug from Bobby is the absolute most magical feeling in the world.

I’ll never forget this feeling, this moment, this longing for normalacy, connection and to share in an exchange of words and an embrace that transcended time, the pain in my ribs from crashing and above all, just a reminder that I am truly ALIVE.

We both cried in this moment and it was the happiest and most alive I have been in a very long time.

Embrace being alive every damn moment you can.

Thank you for the fantastic capture and sharing this moment and to everyone that made it possible. So completely blessed with love in my life.

T-minus 72-hours for this level of stoke at . After two long years of Pandemic patience, on Saturday, March 12th I plan to to race my first MidSouth 50 miler.

Come snow, orange & red mud and maybe even a last-minute bike change decision, I’ll be there at that finish line to share in the stoke with and document it at the same time.

I can’t wait.

We are finally here! I may not have raced a full cyclocross season, but I surely got to go to almost every single large race in the Souther US this past season, including WORLDS this weekend!

Stoked to finally be photographing the sport that has given me so much, that has made me realize I love off-road racing and mostly, the crazy cold, muddy, beer-fueled nature of it. Thank you for the opp!

Good luck to Team USA!! My mirrorless capture of ’s last month at 2021 at 🔥

Taking a in Bentonville is literally the best thing for me. An entire day on the trails, roads, gravel, etc is pretty much the closest thing to heaven-on-earth.

Stoked to have put in a little work for while I’m here and then picking up the camera again this weekend to photograph for !

2022 is looking so fine. And we are just getting started!

Pro capture by fellow riding photographer who also convinced me to jump a baby ramp today on my bikepacking rig for a Curious but skeptical audience. Btw, landed it 💃🏻

Wow, what to say that hasn’t been said?!

Proud of the growth I’ve had this year. Proud of the work ethics I’ve displayed, the challenges I have faced and above all, the new experiences I have opened myself to!

The power of manifestation is so huge. Just remember that as you face 2022-you can control the outcome of your successes! Keep positive!
