FLOW(ForLoveOfWords) International is returning to the Gold Coast in 2026!! This time we are partnering with Arts Equity Collective and bringing along 5 youth to add this incredible experience to their educational studies.

We are ecstatic to be working with AEC in utilizing my platform to foster not only education, but community abroad. AEC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to unlock marginalized voices through trauma-informed educational and empowerment workshops, using open and closed mics. Preserving those voices through authorship and publication.

We’ve been working closely with AEC in conjunction with The Survivors Ball and we are ready to pour into not just adults but youth abroad.

FLOW International is widely known as a spokenword cultural immersion, inviting Poets and lovers of Poetry to immerse themselves in different cultures to understand, network, and broaden the landscape of creative writing while providing an adventurous vacation for travelers.

The 2024 FLOW International trip to Accra, Ghana, was a transformative journey blending culture, art, and luxury, creating an unforgettable experience for all participants. The trip kicked off with a series of spoken word performances, where talented poets from the U.S. and Ghana came together to showcase their craft against the backdrop of Accra’s vibrant energy. These performances, held at local venues and cultural hubs, captured the essence of African identity, history, and contemporary issues, sparking conversations and connecting diverse audiences through the power of words.

Participants also had the opportunity to embark on national tours, exploring the rich heritage and history of Ghana. The tour included visits to iconic landmarks like the Cape Coast Castle, a solemn reminder of the transatlantic slave trade, and the W.E.B. Du Bois Center, which highlights the life and legacy of the African-American intellectual and activist. These tours offered profound insights into Ghana’s role in the diaspora and its ongoing cultural renaissance.

In addition to the cultural immersion, the luxury aspect of the trip was truly elevated by the exclusive stay at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra and a day trip to Royal Senchi Resort. Set in a stunning location, the hotel provided five-star accommodations, world-class amenities, and unparalleled service.
