I had the craziest kissmet experience of serendipity. 2 of my oldest and beloved friends- who did not plan this and don't even socialize that much- ended up having weddings on the the same Thursday afternoon, in the same city, and just a couple ofmiles apart. So I was able to double-up and attend both weddings on the same trip. It was a very soul-warming day of watching these people that I love finally find their person. What an awesome day and I was so fortunate to experience it all.

Yesterday vs today. We were beachside all weekend and I had a whole photography outing planned for today, but the freezing weather said otherwise. So we're home in our robes snuggling dogs and instead of discovering buildings and streets of Corpus. There's always next time...

Without even looking through the rest of them, I can say it is undoubtedly this goofy selfie with me and my best Texas friend at the weekend finale seeing in their home(ish) turf. I like the sick green light burn too. What an amazing convention.

When out shooting, someone will usually ask me about my camera and ooo and aaah about how it probably takes great pictures. My camera is a fancy tool, but I am the one taking the great pictures 😏 Anyone can take great pictures with any camera! This artist is making AMAZING work with only a cell phone and making his own miniature props to create his compositions. I appreciate his tactile usage; in a world of photoshopping layers, this dude has a cell phone and some model cars on a board covered in dirt. I LOVE IT!

Could this be the very first attempt at portraiture on railroad tracks? This photographer might have started this whole genre! Bonus points if it comes to light that this is either their senior pictures or their band promo shots.

Traces of Texas reader Mary Maxwell was able to extract this image from an old negative. She does not know who these ladies are or when the photo was taken but is certain that it was in Gatesville. The young lady on the right does not look too happy about having her photo taken!
