If you haven't picked up on it before, we'd love to be a Zero Waste as Possible with weddings where we can (Sparklers make this a bit difficult but we digress haha). Not everything photo worthy though is bad for the environment. Kristen + Tom's confetti cannon was made from biodegradable confetti, making their wedding's carbon footprint smaller and our Zero Waste Loving Hearts happy :)

If you're going to name your business "The Best Little Cake Shop in Texas" then you're definitely setting a high bar! And Kristen + Tom's cake definitely cleared it :) We loved the fun textures paired with the industrial background of the Ice Plant Building. The butterflies added a whimsical touch and as always, The Bloom Bar only finds the prettiest flowers to put on cakes 🌸

Kristen and Tom wanted their wedding decor to incorporate tropical elements so that their Texas family could feel the warmth stemming from their Hawaiian home. On top of that, the couple naturally gave beachy happy hippie vibes, so they were totally in their element with this theme! Everything tied together so well. And we just have to give a special shoutout to Kayli from for doing such an amazing job with the most beautiful part of decor: the floral! 🥰❤️🌺

The textured walls, unique accents, and the industrial yet homey feel means we must be featuring the Ice Plant Building this week. Located just 20 minutes from Round Top (which dare we say is it's own mini-Marfa) is the perfect setup for our artistic couples. Kristen + Tom were no exception!

Talk about an exit! The Driskill doesn’t allow the commonly-used sparkler exit (given the historic nature of the hotel and the potentials to damage their indoor and outdoor flooring). So, Hannah and Matt had a grand exit while their guests greeted them below with ribbon wands, bells, and light pom-poms, all while the newlyweds were led outside second-line style by their live band! It was loud, fun, and the perfect ending to a perfect wedding. But that's not all! H&M continued to sail off into the sunset with their vintage car, and even snap a few pics at the Capitol building before calling it a night. What a grandiose day, indeed!

We have a little secret…we don't share EVERY detail about the planning process with our clients 😅 See this charger? This beautiful, **elusive** charger? Even though we nailed the design and ordered these chargers months in advance, sometimes life happens, and unfortunately 4 crates arrived broken the month before the wedding, with no time to reorder. So...what's a planner to do? Kristi was able to source an alternative that was very close to the original, communicate with the hotel, photo & video teams, and her assistants to make sure no photos or videos were taken of the mis-matched chargers, place them on guest tables near the back of the room, AND map out the route Hannah and Matt would take to greet tables, so that when they got to the tables with the replacement chargers, dinner service would be far enough along that the chargers would have been picked up already. Not to worry though, since the wedding Kristi let Hannah in on the secret, but this is one example of something we do to ensure there is as little stress going into wedding day as humanly possible!

The name of the game for Hannah was flowers, flowers, FLOWERS, and did not disappoint! It's hard to describe how the Mezzanine at the Driskill *felt* when you walked in … but it was like you were transported back to a grand ball at the palace of Versailles 💐 The flowers were dripping from the ceiling, touched nearly every available surface, and were even built into the doorframe for a truly epic private dance photo. Sorry...still swooning! 🥰

Hannah and Matt were alllllll about the details. The church was Matt’s family's church, the napkins had fun facts about the hotel, the guest book was a puzzle of their engagement photos, the drinks were named after their dog, and the ice sculptures represented their universities! Every single thing was full of meaning, which made their special day that much more special. 🤍

This week we’re covering the oh-so majestic wedding of Hannah and Matt! You’ll see aspects of their wedding that are luscious and bright, while some that are dark and cool. That’s because Hannah planned for certain parts of the wedding to be beautiful and somewhat feminine, while Matt had his own little “Groom-Room” that came with dark navy velvet drapery, live cigar rolling, and specialty cocktails (since he himself is an award-winning mixologist)! Of all of the amazing things Bonnie and Brad did for their wedding, their shelving behind the head table was the absolute coolest! The shelves were built to contain family photos of Bonnie and Brad, which is already such a cute, heartwarming display. But after 9pm, the area behind it was opened and revealed a Speakeasy! 😱🥳 This area was complete with two liquor bars, a coffee bar, a lounge, and a photo booth. Shoutout to Bonnie and Brad, who are just as sweet, wild and unique as this speakeasy design was 🔥❤️

A day before their wedding, disaster struck. Penny, Bonnie and Brad’s daughter, was at the rehearsal crying her eyes out because she realized something devastating… SHE wasn't the one marrying her Daddy 😫😱💔 It was cute, but also, she was very genuinely upset! So in order to help her feel better, they held a quick little fake ceremony where Penny married her Dad and Benny, their son, married his Mom. Then, the next day, Daddy and Mommy got actually married and both kids were content! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🤍

Well, we don’t know why he was in a tree, but we do know that he’s in these photos because he was a beloved friend at and Brad’s wedding! Bonnie and Tyler actually became a viral duo since their cooking episode aired years ago. He just had to come see these two love bugs get married and party together all night long! 😉😮🤗

There are private residence weddings and then there is Bonnie + Brad's Private Residence Wedding. It wasn't just a house or ranch, it was an entire Equestrian Center that our Planner Stacy transformed into a full on wedding venue. The couple built a deck for the ceremony space, installed turf on the equestrian center, and created a few more construction projects like yard games and a Speakeasy backboard to make it all come together.

There are First Dances and then there is Tiffany + Kasper's First Dance. It literally was like watching Dancing with the Stars. Color us impressed as we see a lot of couples take dance lessons, but this was definitely next level! These two had a rowdy Wedding Party Entrance followed by that Epic First Dance and the reception was allll rise after that 🕺💃

BRB, just going to go Ugly Cry in the Corner...

A lot of times we might be in the background setting up during the ceremony and don't get to hear the vows or ceremony. For Tiffany and Kasper we had to have everything pretty set before the ceremony started which meant we could enjoy listening to the ceremony. These two had been through so much, including rescheduling three times for both travel reasons (coming in from Denmark) and health scares. So to hear the words they wrote so beautifully, it tugged at our heart strings, the photographers, the DJs and most of the guests. We really should have handed out tissues beforehand 🤧🥹🤗

I have to imagine we had no Poker Face when Tiffany + Kasper explained they needed three hours for dinner. Danish Weddings traditionally have speeches break up each course with tons of speeches sprinkled throughout the dinner. That amount of time seemed so daunting! But that's what's so amazing about our job, we learn something every day. Dinner really did fly by and everyone stayed so engaged (tableside wine also helps *wine emoji*). That being said, our DJ Mark from had just done Danish wedding before our detailing call with the couple so he definitely didn't have the same wide eyed reaction we did 😂

Normally we've seen Tea Ceremonies the day before or first thing in the morning, but Tiffany and Kasper chose to have theirs a few hours before their Western Ceremony. It was a much more laid back approach since they technically got married months before, but it was still important to have the Tea Ceremony to symbolize the union of the two families. We love the colorful, creative approach Tiffany took with her dress too, it was STUNNING!

Business Owner: "The Giant Cutout of our Logo won't be here in time for our Grand Opening Party".
Event Planner enters the chat: "We could take your logo and make it into a Giant Gobo."
Owner: "What's a Gobo".
Planner: "It's a Giant Projection of your logo. It's cost efficient and can be easily seen from a distance to help distinguish your building for attendees."
Business owner: "Wrap it up, I'll take it!!"

Ok, so it went almost pretty much like that.
But there was a problem, and we provided a solution...and a second Gobo.

There were about five activations at the argodesign Office Grand Opening Party, all of them were incredibly unique and thought out. But our favorite setup by far was this very zen-looking corner called “Radical Stillness”. The owner, Jordan, created this meditation space with antiques that he personally owned. It’s such a unique art installation that highlights being present in the moment. The calm music washed over you while you just forgot about your inbox and to do list for five minutes ✌🏼

As our corporate business picks up, we're seeing a trending goal for the clients of "Celebrate after not seeing each other in real life for two years." Like many other design companies, argodesign had been fully remote for a while, but decided to invest in a new office and a welcome party to help inspire collaboration within the local Design Community of Austin. Thousands were invited, we had closer to 500 RSVPs for the come and go event. The argodesign team brought their A Game with the creative design elements throughout while we were contracted to bring in the FUN (Food and Bar haha) as well as coordinate with all vendors. It was a match made in Corporate Planning Heaven and there was a moment where I (Lauren) actually took stock and looked around the room. You could *feel* how happy everyone was to see each other again. Sometimes I wish we could just bottle that feeling ✨

You may ask: "Where did Lera and Daniel get that adorable dessert stand?" 🧁 Well, it's one of a kind, literally 😂 Not hand made, but 3D printer made! Which we find to be extra fascinating from the fact that it didn't have to pull in any more environmental resources to make.
We also love how the hexagon shape is carried throughout ceremony and reception (from the arch to dessert tables and table numbers). It's always good to have a consistent flow throughout your design 🤌🏼

For the longest time, weddings we did at Addison Grove leaned heavily on greenery and white, which is absolutely stunning. However, Lera and Derrick decided to pull in Terra Cotta and Canyon Tones within their decor. This gave boho vibes with Lera’s dress and their overall color palette, giving a comforting Texas feel to their wedding. 🧡🤘🏼

Our Favorite couples are the ones who are Unapologetically Themselves 💕 Lera and Daniel would absolutely identify themselves as movie nerds, anime fans, fun, full of love, never missing an opportunity for a joke, and cat fanatics. Their planner, Amy Bay, loved planning with them because they were just so cool! They both had that “weird” Austin vibe, but were also incredibly polite. Some of the unique things they did were process down the aisle together, put movie references and jokes in their vows. Even their First Dance was so unique to them: "Merry-Go-Round" by Joe Hisaishi, which was featured in an Anime Movie called Howl's Moving Castle. As they say "In a world where you can be anything, be yourself" :)

Carolyn and Nick gave very little emphasis on typical wedding traditions like the bouquet toss or the cake cutting...what they really wanted to do was P-A-R-T-Y! They were dancing so much (shout out to ) that we had to turn on all the lights to kick everyone out at the end of the night, LOL. They even had an afterparty to keep going! It’s so fun seeing couples that just want to celebrate hard in the name of love.

One special note about Carolyn here...she was the total opposite of a Bridezilla. She’s what I would call, a Bride"chilla" 😂 She was so zen and go-with-the-flow, that even on her wedding day, she gave such calm vibes that a butterfly decided to hitch a ride on her head! It’s very fitting that she has these photos, perfectly depicting how calm, cool, and collected she was!

Springdale Station was always on our Bucket List so we were so excited when Carolyn and Nick chose it for their venue! This was genuinely one of the coolest mood boards I’ve (Kristi) ever made! We were working with color, lights, and ambiance in a space that was just right for Carolyn’s vision. The couple emphasized that they loved how versatile the space was and how they even had rain plan options ☔️💪🏼

Here in Texas, we’re in the middle of a very hot summer. What better way to beat the heat than with a refreshing drink? On Carolyn and Nick’s hot wedding day, Crave Catering made these delicious Aguas Frescas to keep their guests hydrated and stylish with the Olivia glassware in their hands. They served lavender lemonade and watermelon mint, which sounds soooo delicious right about now. Thanks keeping us cool 😎🏖☀️

Colby and Jack used their wedding invitations from Jack's own sister as the baseline for the overall color scheme. It especially worked out because the terracotta, warm colors tied into the venue’s own accent colors, too! Other elements that did followed suit: menus, the seating chart, the bar menus on the potted plants (such a cute touch BTW!), and way more.
