We are still needing sponsors for the Fair! You can sponsor a class, get an ad in our Fair Book, sponsor lunch for the exhibitors, donuts and milk, or even an ice cream social!!

Last year we had 150+ animals compete in contests for thier banners and buckles at the Fair! These youth in Agriculture work hard through 4H and FFA to learn valuable life skills, including hard work and dedication to show their animals, let's support their efforts!

Meet our Judges!

Danielle Funk
From: Omaha Nebraska
Farm location: Houstonia, Mo
Farm info: (Funk Livestock) currently run 35 registered Boer goats and sell all the off spring in March in the farms annual bid board sale
Previously use to show and raise registered Maine-Anjou Cattle and show market lambs on a national level.

School: attended Fort Scott Community college where she was a member of the livestock judging team from 2016-2018. After graduating she attended Kansas State University where she majored in Feed Science and Management. After K-State she started working for Purina. She is now at her 5th feed mill with Purina as a quality and safety manager.

Danielle still enjoys showing on a her Registered Boer Goats on a National Level.

Meet our Judges!

Hello,
My name is Caleb Peterson. My wife, Jordan, and I got married in the spring of 2024 and built our home on our family farm north on Mtn. Grove in Wright County. I manage Peterson Dairy; which is our operation of about 45 registered Jersey cows. We have shown extensively at many county, state, and national level shows over the years and enjoy exhibiting and promoting our genetics in the industry. I have been blessed to have won many awards, such as multiple time Grand Champion at our State Jersey show, supreme champion at state level, and class and division winners at national shows. I also am a testing technician for DHI cooperative for local dairies and operate CreekTop Bernese Mountain Dogs where we raise/show high-quality Bernese. It is always my family and I’s main focus to keep Our God at the center point in things that we do and owe all our success to him.

Meet our judges!!

My name is Erin Snow, and I work with MU Extension. I have shown poultry since I was eight years old. I have been judging poultry for the past 7 years at various shows, including the broiler show at the Missouri State Fair. I am also the superintendent of the poultry show at the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield, Mo.

This form is for all species of animals. There are places to add up to 5 animals on this form. If you have more than 5 you will have to fill out another form. Just a reminder Health Papers are REQUIRED. A Veterinarian will be on premises.

Due to the forecasted severe weather for Saturday, We have made the decision to postpone the Derby. Boat motor swaps aren't allowed anyway, and the track may only be good for fishing! We are looking for a date to reschedule, so check back for the new date!!
