Heading out for the last big wedding of the year. It was a whopper of a year and now that it’s winding down we will have time to reflect rather than the continual pushing. There will be moments to wash all the buckets and instead of putting things anywhere they can go in their proper place. And now, maybe, I can figure out how to stop getting notifications from Netflix.

I wanted to follow up my last post with some more information. Lots of horses in this country are sent to auction. some end up in kill pens usually bought by kill buyers, buyers that then ship them to slaughter. Horses are dumped when they are no longer useful, sick, starving, pregnant mares, mares with babies, sores, unbelievable hoof problems, so lame they can barely walk. They have all been abandoned and abused by their owners, old horses, race horses, amish plow horses, any type of horse. Their are many sanctuaries that buy these animals, heal them and give them a beautiful life until the die naturally. I follow and when I can I send a donation. I think even if you can’t afford to give dollars a positive, encouraging word would help. Because of course some people post discouraging messages. I can’t believe how dedicated the people at rocking horse are and how they cope with such circumstances.
