Today marks three wonderful years since our dream of opening our own flower shop became a reality. September 9th 2021, we opened our doors in a sweet little historic building on 4th and Broadway. With a lot of hard work and so much support from our friends and this amazing community we've grown, and now we've landed in our larger and brighter space on Main street. Dreams do come true. Thank you!!!

In honor of Independent Retailer Month, we're celebrating by sharing stories from our small business clients. A lifelong passion for flowers and plants has turned Baker Floral & Botanicals/ Flower Shop into a thriving flower and botanical shop with a new location on Main Street in Baker City, Oregon.

When owners Shelley Terrill and Mollie Collings moved to the Baker City area in 2021, they turned to the Blue Mountain Community College Small Business Development Center for help starting their new business. Together, they attended workshops, created a business plan, and received assistance in obtaining a Northeast Oregon Economic Development District (NEOEDD) loan to help boost their inventory and purchase a delivery van.

Their hard work and success did not go unnoticed! In January of this year, Baker Floral & Botanicals won Entrepreneur of the Year from the Baker County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau.
