The last round of dahlias were lifted yesterday - waiting to be washed and divided this weekend. They’ll soon join the other tubers in the cooler for their winter sleep.

I haven’t felt like posting much here - I feel there’s so much to say and nothing at all to say. WNC physically and emotionally continues to recover, and will be doing so for a while. There’s much to do, much to mourn, much to grow from.

Last week a group of beautiful friends volunteered their Saturday morning to help with storm + end of season cleanup. More beds were cleared in a few hours than I could have done in a few days. Truly thankful for community.

The season ended more abruptly than I could have anticipated. Looking back at images of blooms and bouquets from the late summer feels like so long ago. Some I don’t even remember capturing but am glad to have now. I’ll start sharing those in the feed alongside field updates as we look forward to spring blooms.

Honestly, my heart has been so full with y’all’s support this season. Not just purchasing flowers but engaging with content here on the ole insta, messaging and commenting with just the sweetest notes, and hearing stories of how these blooms have made an impact in some way.

Megan told me a story yesterday of the most beautiful pay it forward moment. A customer asked Megan to gift a bouquet to a customer of her choosing who then gifted it to her sister. 🥹

All this to say, thank you. ✨🙌💐💕

I didn’t manage to take a digital photo of the booth but I did take one frame with my 35mm. So, look for that in the next 4-6 months at the rate I shoot a whole roll.

🚨I’ll be at 3rd Thursday tomorrow, 8/15! All the summer bloom superstars will be there - like dahlias, gomphrena, celosia, and zinnias - plus the first of the eucalyptus!! It’s the last market of the summer so come out and get yourself a locally grown bouquet and listen to some good music! 5-8pm!
