Let's talk dress trends -
I'm seeing more and moee lace, illusion necklines, and off-the-shoulder straps. Additionally, many brides are choosing to wear shorter gowns or separates instead of traditional long gowns.

But if you want to skip the trends and go with timeless - Megan's gown steels the show. The scalloped flutter sleeves on this bride’s wedding dress are so incredible! I absolutely love seeing all the different details in each wedding dress my brides pick.

When you’re planning your wedding, talk to your planner or coordinator about adding in a quick five minutes for you and your partner to have a reception sneak peek.

Right before all of your guests get ushered out of cocktail hour you and your new spouse can take a moment to just take it all in. You’ve worked hard to plan your big day! And it will go by so incredibly fast. So set aside just a few minutes to walk through your reception space and really admire all your hard work. There’s nothing like a little champagne toast with your new spouse to wash away the wedding day jitters!

For couples who like to save the big reveal for the aisle, I definitely suggest adding in a few moments after the ceremony to catch up with your partner. After all, it’s been a busy morning! Add in a glass of champagne and it’s a lovely moment alone, which can be hard to come by on your wedding day.

Invitations are the first impression your guests will have of your wedding. For N&M's wedding, we went with a minimal invitation suite. BUT for their details flatlay, we spared no details. Due to the minimalistic typography we were able to surround it with beautiful blooms, custom ring box and all the pretty details that made the primary wedding color (lavender) color POP!

Baltimore Museum of Art - Located in the beautiful Charles Village neighborhood of Baltimore, this museum of venue is full of incredible architecture and art, with so many gorgeous spots for photos! Plus, they offer the option to tent their outdoor space if you want to enjoy that beautiful fall weather --or you can enjoy the glass enclosed courtyard from inside.

Meridian House - This Washington DC venue is full of history and the perfect romantic backdrop to any wedding. They offer a gorgeous outdoor ceremony spot in the garden which is just incredible in the late fall as the trees change color. After the ceremony you can head inside to their stunning library space for a reception that will transport you back in time. 

Dumbarton House - This Georgetown venue is absolutely perfect any time of year, but their courtyard ceremony space is just extra special in the fall. There’s also a variety of indoor and outdoor reception spaces to choose from, so you’ll have a perfect spot no matter what the unpredictable fall weather brings.

About Me

I am a proud Latina, who grew up in New Jersey in the 15 minute vicinity of the glamour of “The City” – NYC that is.

I’ve always had a passion for creativity. I tap into it through painting, sketching, designing and crafting projects around my home. I found a love for planning from the many events I’ve coordinated and styled for professional and non profit organizations while in college. As a Project Manager for the past 13 years, I’ve also developed my task management, budgeting and contract negotiation skills. I began Events by Yosira as an avenue to converge my organization, task management, negotiations skills with my love for design, art, hosting events and everything creative.
