Let's talk dress trends -
I'm seeing more and moee lace, illusion necklines, and off-the-shoulder straps. Additionally, many brides are choosing to wear shorter gowns or separates instead of traditional long gowns.

But if you want to skip the trends and go with timeless - Megan's gown steels the show. The scalloped flutter sleeves on this bride’s wedding dress are so incredible! I absolutely love seeing all the different details in each wedding dress my brides pick.

When you’re planning your wedding, talk to your planner or coordinator about adding in a quick five minutes for you and your partner to have a reception sneak peek.

Right before all of your guests get ushered out of cocktail hour you and your new spouse can take a moment to just take it all in. You’ve worked hard to plan your big day! And it will go by so incredibly fast. So set aside just a few minutes to walk through your reception space and really admire all your hard work. You can even add in a private first dance for an extra romantic start to your evening.

Spring 2023 brides, have you found your florist yet? We’re officially 8 months away from June 2023, which means it’s time to focus on your flowers! Chatting with a florist early will make sure they have your date available and help you get an idea of your floral budget. The cost of flowers is still higher than normal right now, so make sure you have plenty of time to chat with your florist about options!

There’s nothing like a little champagne toast with your new spouse to wash away the wedding day jitters!

For couples who like to save the big reveal for the aisle, I definitely suggest adding in a few moments after the ceremony to catch up with your partner. After all, it’s been a busy morning! Add in a glass of champagne and it’s a lovely moment alone, which can be hard to come by on your wedding day.

Invitations are the first impression your guests will have of your wedding. For N&M's wedding, we went with a minimal invitation suite. BUT for their details flatlay, we spared no details. Due to the minimalistic typography we were able to surround it with beautiful blooms, custom ring box and all the pretty details that made the primary wedding color (lavender) color POP!

Who else loves a good flatlay??

Baltimore Museum of Art - Located in the beautiful Charles Village neighborhood of Baltimore, this museum of venue is full of incredible architecture and art, with so many gorgeous spots for photos! Plus, they offer the option to tent their outdoor space if you want to enjoy that beautiful fall weather --or you can enjoy the glass enclosed courtyard from inside.

Meridian House - This Washington DC venue is full of history and the perfect romantic backdrop to any wedding. They offer a gorgeous outdoor ceremony spot in the garden which is just incredible in the late fall as the trees change color. After the ceremony you can head inside to their stunning library space for a reception that will transport you back in time.

Dumbarton House - This Georgetown venue is absolutely perfect any time of year, but their courtyard ceremony space is just extra special in the fall. There’s also a variety of indoor and outdoor reception spaces to choose from, so you’ll have a perfect spot no matter what the unpredictable fall weather brings.

One of my favorite tips for gorgeous place setting photos -- add a little extra to the head table. While every table at K&D’s wedding had these beautiful blue charger plates, we added an extra layer with these secondary white plates with silver details were reserved just for the head table. This allowed to capture the beautiful tablescape before guests arrived at the reception.

meanwhile, we had our caterer serve salads to the rest of the guest table to expedite and facilitate the food service. ....Little bits of event pro magic 🎩 ✨️

Are you going with a first look on your big day?

The First Look is probably one of the most highly-debated topics in the wedding industry right now. There’s so many pros and cons to both sides!

Personally, I think a First Look is great for couples who:
- Think they will be super nervous on their wedding day
- Have a tight photo timeline
- Want to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests

And you might want to skip the First Look if you:
- Are superstitious
- Don’t want a ton of family photos or formal portraits
- Want to have a sentimental, intimate moment as you enter the ceremony.

We used this incredible floral arch by to adorn K&D's ceremony backdrop, and then repurposed it to frame the wedding cake at K&D’s reception! The beauty of this arch commanded maximum attention. make sure that my couples get maximum value out of every piece of decor on their big day.

K&D’s wedding is up on the blog! Their wedding at The Walters Art Museum] was absolutely stunning from top to bottom. We put so much heart into every single detail of their wedding day and it was so rewarding to see it all come to life! The delicate blue motif combined with the grand architecture of the museum was magical. And can we discuss how committed to the blue theme they were?! From getting ready at and hiring for entertainment - coincidence... I think not!

We had so much fun planning this wedding and getting to know this gorgeous couple, and the lovely MoB.

Dear amazing couples and clients know that your reviews are sooo important to us as a small business. In the past few years, we've seen an increase in events serving a mocktail option at the bar, and I absolutely love it! Whether you have guests that can't or choose not to drink, having a mocktail option at the bar can make them feel much more included! Mocktails can be spiced up with beautiful garnishes to look spectacular.

K&D's day started at the Indigo Hotel, the couple's host hotel. The library at the hotel served as the perfect backdrop for photographing the details and the dress. Once ready, the bridal party got a first look at the bride before the big reveal to the groom. Lets talk about chairs - so overlooked but they can make or break the vibe of your event. And there are sooo many to choose from you'll probably become overwhelmed with the number of chair types. So how do you narrow it down?..

1. Consider your budget. Chair rentals can really vary in price, but often the cheapest options aren't the nicest. Think about what you're comfortable spending and then look at the options within your range.

2. Think About Your Guests Comfort. If you plan on having a 2-hour-long ceremony, you probably don't want your elderly guests sitting on benches without a back. Make sure that you're considering the comfort of your guests while
picking out chairs instead of just focusing on looks

3. Do They Need To Move? If you are having your ceremony and reception in two different spaces and using the same chairs in both spots, chat with your planner about how different chairs might affect the time of the flip and how many staff are required.

4. Match Your Wedding Aesthetic. If you're going all-out with florals and decorations, you probably don't want to go with metal folding chairs at your tables. Chairs can have a huge visual impact on a space, so make sure the chairs you choose fit in with the rest of your wedding vision!

The very first impression your guests will have of your wedding is usually from your stationery suite. Save The Dates and Invitations are so important, not only to provide your guests with the information they need but also to get them excited for the wedding and help them to understand the aesthetic you are going for. I am loving some of the top wedding stationery trends of 2022, especially these!

• Vintage Inspired: Ever since Bridgerton aired I think we've all been romanticizing the victorian aesthetic and it's definitely continued into the wedding world! Floral motifs, blush and pale blue color schemes, and satin ribbons are a fantastic way to create an old-world romantic feel for your invitation suite.

• Custom Art: I've seen some absolutely stunning invitations this year with pieces of custom art that were then included throughout the wedding day as well. From family crests to venue facades, to maps - there are so many spectacular ways you can incorporate a totally unique painting into your stationery.

• Minimalism: Bold typography on a solid color (or even white) background is a huge trend this year. Crisp, clean lines will never go out of style, and this is a fantastic option for formal or black-tie events.

• Clear Vellum and Acrylic: If you're looking for something really luxurious and unique, clear acrylic and vellum invitations are taking off this year. Using these mediums will always be a bold statement, no matter how simple the design is.

Outdoor weddings can be absolutely gorgeous, but they also come with a world of unknowns. Here are some important things to remember when planning your outdoor wedding.
1. Have a rain plan for not only your ceremony and reception, but also your photos! Chat with your photographer ahead of time to make sure you can find a spot that’s nice and dry but also provides the lighting necessary for perfect pictures.
2. Wear the right shoes! Stilettos and grass don’t mix well, so make sure you’ve got a chunky heel or some flats to keep you from sinking in during the ceremony.
3. Don’t forget about lighting! While a night under bistro lights is absolutely beautiful, it can be a little difficult to read the dinner menu under mood lighting. Make sure every part of your day has the perfect lighting for ambiance and practicality!

About Me

I am a proud Latina, who grew up in New Jersey in the 15 minute vicinity of the glamour of “The City” – NYC that is.

I’ve always had a passion for creativity. I tap into it through painting, sketching, designing and crafting projects around my home. I found a love for planning from the many events I’ve coordinated and styled for professional and non profit organizations while in college. As a Project Manager for the past 13 years, I’ve also developed my task management, budgeting and contract negotiation skills.
