Somewhere on a quiet flower farm, amidst the soft rustle of dried petals and the shimmer of embroidered butterflies, one of the most meaningful and delicate moments that two people can have came to life.

A bride, elegantly poised on a swing that has invoked memories of childhood wonder and freedom to many, looks back at the love of her life. Her veil falls, effortlessly cascading behind her. Her lover stands close. He shares a quiet smile in his admiration for his wife, glancing at her with eyes full of promise for their days ahead.

It’s really the moments like this - where textures, glances, and subtle gestures converge - that stories come alive. They way her veil moves with the breeze, the power of his presence, and the interplay of light and shadow cement these fleeting seconds into something unforgettable.

Sometimes it’s not the grandeur of the setting, but the intimacy of connection that turns a photograph into something more than just a memory.

Boat rides from the ceremony into the reception, a raw oyster bar with all of the fixings, waterfront views steeped in the Earth’s many shades of green, an open bar, and loud music on the beach. What more could you ask for in a wedding experience along the Severn?

A + A’s family, friends, and surrounding community pulled together to give them a stand-alone day that was both far from ordinary, and full of so much love. Their wedding day was an elaborate display of all of the things they love about each other, and what they believe in.

A + A radiate kindness, compassion, and creativity - all of which were evidently demonstrated in the design of their day. The amount of joy and celebration in the air from their guests was truly palpable. There’s little that compares.

(Also - shoutout to Sam from for being the most supportive colleague, and doing such a phenomenal job as a second shooter. You’re amazing!)

If there’s one thing late Autumn promises, it’s that the golden hue that casts itself across the horizon and between the trees will be the highlight of every day the sun descends early.

As if the way the light is captured here isn’t enough for this series to be engrained in my mind forever, it features two really important people in my life - my cousin Jordan, and his partner Jess.

They were kind enough to meet me in a place we grew up exploring, knowing, and loving. It’s a place that holds so much significance to us, which made it the perfect place to document Jordan and Jess in this way.

As we walked the trails, we reminisced on our adventures across the land here. We shared bouts of laughter and cracked jokes only we understand. This experience was entirely new, yet full of nostalgia - which is just the way we like it.

The sentimental impact of places that connect the different parts of our lives together is truly astounding in most delightful sense. I’m looking forward to sharing more of this experience with you all in the future, thanks for being here.

Vintage designs that become interlaced within our modern era often resonate with me the most. I find that this is also something my couples and I commonly connect through, which creates this wonderful space for us to blend the eras together in their own visual narratives.

Vintage design comes in many forms - music, architecture, attire, jewelry, furniture, art, and so on. There’s a place for these pieces in every kind of celebration, whether it be an adventure-driven elopement or a grandiose destination wedding. In today’s world, couples are constantly inventing ways to infuse their wedding experiences with things they absolutely love. It’s an exciting time to be apart of the wedding world.

While this is just a small demonstration of vintage keepsakes finding their way into modern weddings, the details from this 1980’s-inspired bridal look put a smile on my face every time. The possibilities are truly endless.

Just a few frames from an October golden hour that has proven to be hard to beat.

Here on the East Coast, autumn is nearing its end. It’s been a strange season - 80 degree weather throughout November, minimal rain, and an extended harvest. While these things have been somewhat of a treat, I can’t help but feel a little melancholy about missing autumn’s usual trademarks.

Although, I must admit, looking back on C + C’s intimate fall wedding seems to fulfill a part of that longing. I hope you all are making the most of this short season while it’s still lingering 🍂

It only felt right to share these frames as I’m just three weeks away from another tropical escapade, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about the adventures awaiting on the horizon.

Instead of the Caribbean, this time we’re traveling to Central America. A new place, with new landscapes, and new immersive experiences to be had. I can’t wait to share more soon!

Today I’m sharing a side of my work that you don’t see very often, even though it leaves me feeling just as humbled and whole as all of the rest.

These are the mere beginnings of parenthood.

That very first frame says it all. The way K + G softly admire the presence of the little one growing within will never leave me. It was in that moment I asked them to reflect on their lives and all that they endured, (the good and the bad), to now be entering this miraculous season of life together - a season that will forever alter their perception of what it means to live and grow.

We talked about all of the things parenthood encompasses - happiness, grief, pride, difficulty, patience, compassion, and all of the other emotions parenthood has a unique way of presenting to you.

While I am not a parent in the traditional sense, I fulfill the roll of mothering in other ways that allow me to understand at least some of the complexities of being a parent. K + G and I connected through this, and we exchanged our perspectives in beautifully curious ways. In fact, we still do. Many of our conversations often revolve around topics like these, and how we learn to navigate them.

Time after time, these two have invited me to be apart of their lives as they continue to evolve. There really is no better feeling than the one I get when I get to grow with the people who’ve given me many things to be grateful for. Telling their story as each chapter unravels is a gift.

I think there’s this subtle shift during the reception when champagne glasses are served. It marks a transition in the day when guests have fulfilled their role as quiet witnesses, and then become the people who have the honor of uproariously celebrating the couple they all know and love.

The spirit of the day does not reside in the glass, but in the people who toast them. What a wonderful thing it is to celebrate love.

If you’re new here, welcome. I’m Ciana, and these images embody the reason I picked up a camera - and never put it down.

As a destination wedding and elopement photographer, I journey far and wide to document intimate celebrations of love. This path has afforded me the privilege of connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, documenting their stories through a distinctly candid, earth-focused lens.

It’s an honor to delve into the emotional depths and adventurous spirits of those I photograph, to witness them in their most vulnerable moments. Through this lens, I creatively articulate visual narratives that reflect not just who they are, but what they hold in great reverence.

This past week marked a significant moment for many, as the Aurora Borealis - an extraordinary natural phenomenon - lit up the skies due to a rare geomagnetic storm. For those fortunate enough to witness it, it was a reminder that life’s grandest moments often unfold in the most unexpected places.

As a photographer, my goal is to help cultivate and preserve experiences of this magnitude, allowing couples to savor their own once-in-a-lifetime moments, no matter where or how they unravel. I want people to know that their stories are important, and they too should have personal heirlooms that can attest to the profundities of their lives.

Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned supporter here, know that you are appreciated in every sense of the word. I can only hope our paths will, or continue, to cross.

In a recent blog post, I tried to articulate the meaning of documentary-style photography in a way that couples could easily grasp. I wanted them to feel as if they had a clear understanding of this approach, making it simple for them to decide if this photography style is a missing piece in their wedding experience.

Even though I chose an entirely different wedding gallery to highlight in this blog post, these photos from A + D’s wedding stand out to me as a prime example of the power documentary photography holds.

“Rather than posed portraits or orchestrated scenes, documentary-style photographers focus on the real-life emotions. It’s the genuine interactions and subtleties that make your day uniquely stand out. This approach is especially appealing for couples who want to preserve the raw and unfiltered charm of their day.

They want photos that don’t just show how the wedding looked, but how it felt”.

Every time I see the image of A closely clutching D’s arm, looking at him with such love and admiration, I can’t help but feel as if I’m standing right there with them - watching these moments come to life right in front of me once more. These two look at each other with such tenderness and understanding, highlighting the intimacy of marriage.
