I will forever gush over hand picked flowers from my littles and a squished up tiny little nose to sniff them 🤍

I can buy myself flowers, but I prefer mine hand selected with love (and sometimes with PB & jelly residue from lunch)

This sweet couple arranged for family portraits and unfortunately were cancelled on by their photographer just before the session and couldn’t reschedule for another date. Getting all of the siblings back together under one roof & in town at once- and clean & dressed for family photos at that? Whew, now that’s an impossible mission to begin with for so many, then to lose a photographer at the last minute, it really hits hard!

“There goes my family portrait”- this Mom thought.

But this same Mom had her kids get dressed up anyway, and had her daughter’s boyfriend agree to holding her son’s camera for a photo and some cell phone shots just to capture any single special moment.

I heard them say how upset they still were about being cancelled on as they walked into the field area, but they were still just trying to make the best of it. It was sweet to watch how they really were all trying to make light of a situation like this and still had smiles on their faces.

I happily walked over and offered them a picture with their camera. And then offered them a few quick shots with mine and for their email so I could share these photographs with them. No, I didn’t ask the photographers name, it didn’t matter. I saw a family who was bonded and happy to be together and bringing each other up, and sometimes I don’t even see that at scheduled sessions, honestly. You can’t pose that kind of love or talk it through a prompt.
And cancellations happen, nobody is perfect. We are all human. I’m just glad I could turn this mamas experience with family photos in a more positive direction, I know that would have really bummed me out too, it’s a lot of work to get ready for these sessions.

I really love what I do, through and through. And their excitement and appreciation really filled my cup right up ☕️

Mom’s response was best of all “thank you for this act of kindness. It was a beautiful thing for my children to have witnessed” and as a parent, receiving that compliment was the best I could have ever received. 🤍

Hi! It’s Emily, the face behind the camera of EEG Photography! If you’re new, welcome! If you’re a familiar face and friend, thanks for supporting me, always!

I have the worst time posting, especially about myself 🫣, but I know showing my face is important…so here it is!
*
Here are some fun facts about me!
~I’m a mother of two wild child boys and in addition to running my business I am also home with them full-time and love every chaotic, messy, beautiful little second!
~ I count my unholy intake of coffee toward my water count. I know I’m not alone, don’t judge ☕️
~ I love thunderstorms and horror movies, especially when paired together
~I WILL forget your names, almost all of your names, at least once during a session and for sure when I see you in public. I’ll never forget a face, but can guarantee forgetting your name. (But your dog’s names…I almost never forget those)
~ I used to collect seasonal paper napkins as a child and I have no idea why, but the room mothers knew it and always saved extra ones for me to take home😂
~ If I can’t across my toes in my shoes, I can’t wear them
