Beth Yashnyk (she/they) is an interdisciplinary visual artist living and working in Baltimore City. Originally from New York, she earned her BFA in Printmaking from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She moved to Baltimore in 2016, and earned her MFA in Multidisciplinary Fine Art at Maryland Institute College of Art in 2018. She is an active member of Baltimore’s q***r arts community, and her work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Much love to this incredible human! We are so lucky to have them!

A costume contest celebrating Baltimore culture and icons, with a focus on unique and creative costumes, presentation, and stage presence. The winner will receive a custom crab crown and additional prizes.
The event will take place at Club Car Baltimore and will feature music by DJ 7oey and performances by Iyana Deschanel and Venus Fastrada Codey Odachowski.

In celebration of our Club Car Queen Birthday we are throwing a Ball…a Crab Ball…category is…Miz Baltimore Crab
Following the competition we have special performances from local entertainers

Miz Baltimore Crab Contest
No entry fee, win prizes!

Only one special person can be Miz Baltimore Crab and this is how ya do it:

Miz Baltimore Crab costume contest: Register at The Club Car Stage on the day of the contest between 8:00pm and 9:30pm. Be “contest ready” at the stage 15 minutes before contest time. There are a total of 6 registration slots available.

Contest time: 10PM

This is a community competition all who are 21+ with ID can register to compete.

What are the judges looking for?
1. Unique, creative costume that pays tribute to Baltimore culture/icons
2. Presentation…present your look to the judges/audience, introduce yourself and what inspired your look.
3. Talent is not a requirement, this is all about stage presence and the LEWK.
4. Winner will take home a custom crab crown and additional prizes.
