I love being given the time to make a beautiful staircase portrait from above. It's always worth the effort!!

After I'd locked down my composition, my good friend (and second shooter for the day) Pete Redel pops into the stairwell and says, "do you want to add bubbles?"

You always say yes to bubbles.

Not pictured: Pete sprinting up the spiral staircase with his bubble gun to help me get the perfect shot.

Also not pictured: every guest who walked onto the staircase to see where all the bubbles were coming from. 🤣

Shelby & Ryan, your wedding day was spectacular, and this shot was just the cherry on top!!

With over a decade of experience in association and nonprofit management, Catherine brings expert organization, clear communication, and a calm presence to every event she plans.

From intimate gatherings to large celebrations—both in-person and virtual—she’s all about creating meaningful, stress-free experiences.

Originally from Northern Virginia and now proudly based in Baltimore, Catherine draws inspiration from the region’s vibrant culture, community, and creative energy.

When she’s bringing events to life, you can find her traveling or enjoying live music at local Baltimore venues. 🎶🎤🎵

Her passion for people, experiences, and moments that truly matter is at the heart of her approach—helping couples celebrate their story with intention, care, and joy 💍💫

Goodbye, 2025, and hello 2026 ✨

From all of us at the 1423 Events Team, thank you to the incredible couples we had the honor of celebrating this year—we truly loved working with each and every one of you.

2025 brought both joy and heartbreak. We celebrated many beautiful moments, and we also felt deep loss with the passing of not only a talented planner, but a dear friend.

It was a year of ups and downs, made meaningful by the amazing couples and vendors who shared it with us. Here’s to moving forward with gratitude and hope 🤍

And to our 2026 couples~ let’s get ready to party! 🥂⭐️✌️

Today we said goodbye to our beautiful Heather. 🩷 It was a moving service where she was remembered for all the amazing things she was and all her many accomplishments in her much too short time here.

Her legacy will live on in her four boys and in all the lives she touched. ✨

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to our team! Especially Heather’s couples who shared their memories with us. She is irreplaceable and we will miss her.

A little ladybug came to visit us on Saturday as we excuted the last wedding she planned. We know she is with us. ☀️

Hug your people. Tell them you love them. Life is precious and we are grateful we had Heather for as long as we did.

The 1423 team will never be the same. 💔It’s with very heavy hearts that we share this news. Our beautiful and talented Heather has left us far too soon. She was an outstanding event planner, but more than that, she was a wonderful friend, a loving and proud mother and a devoted wife. ❤️

There is no replacing her ~ we will only hope to live up to her high standards of doing everything at 100%.

Heather leaves such a legacy. We will miss her tremendously. Please send lots of love to her husband, her four boys, and her family.
