I’ve had the privilege of working with flower farmers for nearly 20 years, and it’s these relationships that truly set my business apart. They’re not just professional— they’re personal connections I deeply value.

Building these bonds takes work, just like any great relationship. So grateful to have had a conversation with Jenny Marks about how we can create a Win-Win mindset between farmers and florists.

It’s all about collaboration, respect, and supporting each other’s growth. 🌸

It's the new year! I always feel inspired when January rolls around. The business of the holidays is over and I can leisurely spend time reading, working, planning and trying new things.

I thought I would share my enthusiasm for trying new things with my FloweMore community this year. Each month our community has a themed design challenge. Members create designs at home and then share them with the community. This Month, the them is Try Something New. This challenge will be different for everyone and I can't wait to see what people create.

I was inspried by an instagram reel I saw of a lunaria chandelier. I decided to try one myself using the gobs of german statice I've been hoarding along with the lunaria I had tucked away in our storage closet. I love how it turned out! You can watch my whole behind the scenes video of how I made it at the link below.

Are you excited to try something new this year? Tell me in the comments below.

When I was first starting out with design, I didn't understand how it important it was to properly clean the stems of my flowers and foliage. I cut corners, and it showed. The stems in my vase looked, messy, dirty and unprofessional. I realized that taking time to really prepare my stems was necessary. My designs immediately looked better- with this one simple technique.

This week's You Tube video is all about the small, simple steps that we can take as designers to improve the look of our designs-and elevate them to the next level.

Cleaning your stems is the first technique, but there are 5 more. Check out my YouTube Video today and let me know if you are using these techniques in your designs.

Did you know that carnations used to be fragrant before breeders bred the scent out of them to allow them to be shipped thousands of miles out of water and still be viable? UGH!

Heirloom carnations have a spicy, clove-like fragrance. The smell is intoxicating. Once you have a chance to smell them, you'll never look at carnations the same way again.

I'm so lucky to be able to source fragrant, heirloom carnations from Hendricks Flowers in Lititz, PA.

If you want to read more about the history of carnations in the US and whether I think they can make a comeback, click the link here!
