This was my first Styled Session and it was awesome. The lemon and Sage theme was super hot! I look forward to working with all the vendors again.

The first dance is obviously one of the key moments in a wedding day. The Dj introduces the couple into the reception as husband and wife and then straight to the dance you go (most cases anyway). Typically the dance is going to be a usual slow dance of swaying back and forth, while guest snap pictures and video. While this is perfectly fine, I want to throw in another option of taking a dance class and really hit that dance floor on your First Dance. Taking a dance class before your wedding gives you and your significant other some time together to do something fun away from the usual planning. It will give you confidence when you get out there in front of everyone, and you can play around with routine you want for your dance which will add something fresh to your wedding for you to look forward to. Now, this is not for everyone, but if you are committed to adding some spice to the wedding, learning a new two step could be just the thing!

We talked about having fun the other week, and I guess this is a little extension of that, but I really want to encourage not forgetting to put your personality in the wedding day. What do I mean by that? Well, we all know when we are planning, we are going to hit those Pinterest pages hard, watch all the wedding shows on TLC, and stalk The Knot. These are all good things and VERY helpful, but I remember pulling so many ideas from all these other people that I forgot to include ME or I should say US. I have seen weddings with full on desert bars made entirely by the bride, Beauty and Beast centerpieces, Harry Potter decor, groomsmen wearing Jordans and Star Wars theme music. This reminded me that we should remember to include a little of what we like and love on a day that can be very traditional. I mean it is YOUR day! So, have fun with it... Part 2 I guess.
