We are so saddened to share Maggie, Bald Ballerina, passed away on Dec 27th. We celebrate her life always as she was a wonderful example to all of bravery and grace with a never give up spirit. She brought awareness to many by combining her deep love for dance with her advocacy for breast cancer. One person can make a difference. Maggie’s work and memory will continue to make a difference. Maggie was a student of Ms. Shannon’s many years ago and our dancers have been participants in her fund raising galas. Please consider making a donation in Maggie’s memory.
Rest peacefully surrounded with much love courageous Maggie 💕

On December 27, 2024, Maggie passed away peacefully at home with her family. Maggie was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2014 when she was only 23.
Since then, she lived her life to the fullest. She continued to dance, teach, choreograph, and perform in addition to her grueling schedule of medical appointments. Despite not liking to speak publicly, she took on educating young dancers and the public that no one is too young, no one is too fit, no one is immune from cancer. As the Bald Ballerina, she showed all of us how to live and thrive despite the odds with grace, positivity, and tenacity. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who were lucky to know her. We want to thank everyone who supported her through this journey, sent gifts, cards, and messages. Maggie was very touched and grateful, but was too ill to personally thank everyone. We hope you continue to spread her story of strength and grace.
Maggie's greatest passions were breast cancer advocacy for The Pink Agenda (TPA) and working with her Pomeranians at Dog Owner's Training Club of Maryland (DOTC). She served on the board of both organizations and was the AKC Delegate for DOTC. You can make a tax deductible donation to either organization in Maggie's memory. For DOTC, please make the check payable to DOTC, write Maggie on the "For" line and mail to DOTC, 1801 Gwynn Oak Ave, Baltimore MD 21207.
