That word we’re always afraid of, huh?

“FAILURE”. As if this defines us, defines our lives, defines our future. We’re so scared of this word that we fail to act and that is the only failure. Ask yourself what is truly the worst thing that could happen if you did decide to act upon that hunch you have; that goal you want to set for yourself and it doesn’t come to fruition? Generally, the worst is actually not that bad as you’re imagining it to be. The worst is actually not acting upon it because you’ll loose the chance to even find out if it worked! And if it didn’t work, to make the necessary adjustments to make it happen.

Now, aak yourself what is the BEST outcome? How does that feel like? What does your life look like then?

So today, go craft the steps to make it happen!

Share a hint of your dream with an emoji! 🏋🏻‍♀️📸📈✈️🌎🎁📝

Getting real here photog friends🫶🏻

Over the last few months, something important has been pulling at my 💟.

As an artist, I love creating art for the sake of creating beauty to share with the world. I’ve found myself at a crossroads with my creativity - like I said getting real. Asking myself “am I creating photographs that I truly love? Am I shooting in a way that I truly feel connected with?

When I started photography, What was I drawn to?” What left me in AWE about my OWN photography?

All these questions have me at the verge of overthinking…but when I stopped to breath for a second, it all made sense. Many times, over the course of running our own [creative] business, we find ourselves in the comparison game which takes us down the path of imposter syndrome and that takes us down the path of “should I be doing this like every other successful photographer is doing it”? Should I be photographing in this style instead the way my heart wants to create?

I’ve asked myself the hard questions: Am I forcing myself to create (photograph, edit, run my business) a certain way because that is what will get me featured? accepted by the community? liked by my peers? receive compliments? What is it that we’re truly after? Art for art or art for a pat on the back?

So, I’m in a season of going back to my roots: to the nostalgic in me, the romantic in me, the awe-inspiring me, the one I was always proud of and the one I preach to be. (Now, don’t get me wrong…I love who and how I’ve photographed over the years…but I felt something missing inside of me).

These photos right here, are representative of what I love to create and how I see. These are also photos that pushed me BEYOND my comfort zone shooting in-studio. (Thank you for being my muse always and being so willing to try new stuff).

So, tell me,what do you struggle with the most photog friends? I want to get the conversation going…👇🏻

“I’m effortlessly chic”…🧚‍♂️
Yes beautiful, yes you are!

💁🏻‍♀️ As per usual, I’m probably jumping on this trend a couple weeks late, but I wanted to have some fun!

Honestly, it turned out to be somewhat of a confidence boost! Thanks ! I’m reading more raves than any roasting and I’m ok with that. What do you think? 🧐

My entire senior experience is based on striving for that effortless look bc that’s where your confidence shines!

I always love that during my consult sessions I always mention to my future clients that all the girls they see on my IG and website are the girls next door; that not one is a model and most came nervous and a bit scared to their session not knowing what to do, how to pose, where to put their hands, etc. and every time, they’re incredulous! 🤨

I have just ONE more spot left for fall sessions! If you want to grab that one senior experience, fill out the contact form on my website ASAP! I’d love to work with you!

Happy Friday Lovelies! 🩷❤️🧡💛

Not sure what your vibe is? What location to choose for your shoot? I’m starting a series. Let’s chat URBAN SESSIONS today.

Who is this type of session for?

✨For the lover of street style 👟 fashion for starters!

✨For those who appreciate architecture, stone, brick, sitting on steps, leaning on walls, modern buildings, an old-town feel, industrial backdrops 🌇.

✨For those who just aren’t into nature! 🍃

✨Does this require tons of internal work and believing in your capabilities? Of course!

✨Does it require staying the course and persevering even when things don’t seem to move in the direction you want them to? Yes, definitely.

✨Does it work? Yes! But you have to set goals so that you work towards something everyday, not just going through the motions.

✨Does this mean it might be scary AF? 100%!

I’ve decided to start keeping notes of my thoughts & ideas and share them! If I can inspire one person today, I’ll be happy!😊

Can you share with me one thing that you set your mind to and achieved (or are currently achieving?) in your business?

Here are 3 tips to boost your confidence at your session:

✨Practice posing & smiling in front of the mirror! Observe your angles and see how you feel 😉
I know, that may seem weird at first but you’ll have some AHA moments and feel badass!

3️⃣ tips to practice:

#1. Resting face, soft smile & wide (teeth-showing) smile (smile with your eyes! - not just your mouth - that’s when it looks fake 😉)

#2. Try a basic pose to begin with. For example, 1 hand on waist/hip with more weight on one leg, tilt your head for a softer look. Move around and see what feels right in your body and looks natural to you.

#3. Make sure you can stand, lean, sit, squat & twirl with your outfits. How comfortable do you feel? Are you constantly pulling something up or down? Is the neckline too low, is the dress too short? Take some of these things into consideration. The last thing you want is to be uncomfortable during your shoot.

I will gently guide you 100% during your session but it’s important for you to also know your body and what feels “right”!
SEE YOU AT YOUR SHOOT!

❓Photographer friends! Any other tips you want to add?
