One piece of advice that was given to me before my 1st wedding anniversary was to find something you can do every year together and make that your anniversary tradition.

Those words have stuck with me, and I often share them with couples in hopes that they create their own traditions!

Today, we celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary & 7th morning of eating cake for breakfast!

Shoutout to for this stunning celebration cake! Risteen is retiring next month, and we wish her all the very best!

As we get ready to celebrate in our home city of Bangor this weekend, we would just like to acknowledge that our company could not produce the level of work we do for clients without the support from our vendor partners across the state, many who identify as LGBTQ+ and contribute greatly to Maine’s wedding industry.

We acknowledge that today is not about BBQs or parades, and how difficult the day can be for the veteran community and their families.

We have been honored to work with several veterans over the years on creating a table of honor during their wedding celebrations recognizing those who are unable to join in the festivities. The significance of each element of The Fallen Solider Table is meaningful and special.

We hope that by sharing, the true spirit of the day is remembered and honored.

We got a great question this week from a client who wanted to make her future Mother-in-Law feel special during the wedding celebrations, and we thought it would be a great topic to discuss here!

Sometimes Moms of the Groom are afraid to speak up and ask how can they be involved on the "Big Day". Make it a point to help make them feel special and included. This could be asking them to join in on HMU, coordinating wedding day lunch ensuring everyone has nutritious foods in the bodies, and our favorite - placing the boutineer (it can always be a staged shot too - Photographers are cool like that)! The key is to find something that is important and meaningful to them, and share that you would like them to be included! Remember -for parents on both sides, weddings are a cause for celebration.

As a company, we have 3 guiding principles- this is the first and what we feel is the most important.

We have all seen the movies where wedding planners have a high-powered attitude, and unfortunately it’s cast the industry in a darkened light. You could also say there is a lot of competition in the wedding industry. It is our belief that we compete with ourselves everyday to provide a better experience for our clients. There are right partners for every situation, and we value learning from others and collaborating.

To our clients, your wedding is your wedding. Our job is to listen, propose alternatives when an idea might not work or flow well with your overall vision, but at the end of the day help produce the best result for your vision.

Each year we partner with select non-profit organizations that work to support causes that are near and dear to us, and assist in their event planning efforts.

Today, we are out of the office as we work to help bring the vision of ’s 20th anniversary event to life. We are honored to partner with their amazing team, the event’s sponsors and partners, and create an experience worthy of the incredible work they do.
