This morning I sat and reflected back on the wedding I shot a couple of weeks ago. This couple was incredibly sweet and picked the absolute peak of fall colors! It was just a wonderful day, and I am so lucky to have been part of their wedding. I may not post often enough on here, but I can't not share this beautiful couple!

I'm looking for dresses in various sizes for my client closet! These will help me make it easier on my clients so they don't need to stress about finding something to wear when booking a session. In the last month, I've ordered $400+ worth of items for new sets, taken around 14 hours of online lighting/studio education hours, researched ways to offer an incentive to returning clients, spent around 4 hours editing new galleries and an additional 2 hours editing old galleries with the new things I've learned. While I absolutely enjoy doing this, it is definitely still hard work!

That being said, I'm heading out of town for a few days to spend the weekend in a camper van in Puerto Rico with my amazing husband. I am sooooo excited to have time just us, exploring a new place, trying new foods, and feeling the sun on my face and sand in my toes.

So why book a studio session? In a studio, I can control the light, the temperature, the background, etc. Don't get me wrong, we live in an absolutely beautiful place so there's never a shortage of beautiful scenery, but I cannot count the number of times I've had a session get rescheduled due to weather. UP weather is no joke! Plus, since the lighting is consistent, I can deliver a gallery the same day we shoot!

My Story

I am an amateur portrait and event photographer from Baraga, Michigan. The outdoors are my inspiration and a source of endless locations for your sessions. A typical portrait session is $100, but for more accurate pricing or special requests, please message me.

This year, I am excited to start offering adventure sessions. An adventure session is exactly what it sounds like- a photography session in a more adventurous setting. This could be anything from an engagement session under the Northern Lights (when possible!), an action shot of you on your snowmobile during your annual trip to the U.P., or your family portrait session that happens to take place while rock climbing in the Keweenaw. Since each and every booking will be completely unique, I will give personalized quotes upon request. If you are from out of the area, we also have a vacation rental available at a special rate for photography clients.

If you have a special event coming up, and you’d like more information about style, pricing or packages, check out my websites below. I am currently booking through fall of 2018.
