Our prepped meal menu items are fully cooked, heat & eat meals. Typical refrigerated shelf life is 5+ days.

We are sooo excited about this new local made product! Shagbark Hickory Syrup! Made from the bark of hickory trees and foraged by the McIntyre family. This delicious syrup is great on pancakes, waffles, biscuits, and even your coffee or favorite cocktail. On a personal note, I went to high school with the McIntyre family and it’s an honor to have their unique product available in the market starting next week. ❤️

We are back in the kitchen tonight cooking up more meals for the market tomorrow, Wednesday! We will be open 10a-6p. We are still in the process of finalizing next week’s meal prep menu. We will get it posted first thing tomorrow. Thank you all so much for your continued support. I know we say this a lot, but if you’ve ever been in our market and felt the community love and connection as we do, you would understand our appreciation. The market is special to us and we know it’s special to you.❤️

It’s already been a busy morning at the market! We are open till 2pm today, Tuesday! Turmeric shots are restocked.
We have also started our meal donation wall back up! You can donate a meal to Bethany Haven for $10. ❤️

Thank you for coming out to the market today, even though it was freezing out. We are adding some of your favorites for tomorrow, Tuesday, Smoked Sausage Spaghetti with DJ’s Special Sauce, Cabbage with Smoked Sausage and Potatoes, family size Baked Spaghetti, more Gluten Free Focaccia, and a new Cinnamon Sugar Gluten Free Focaccia (this reminds me of an elephant ear at the fair 🤤). Oh, I topped gluten free focaccia with mozzarella tonight for dinner. I highly recommend it! See you in the morning! Open 10a-2p.

We worked 15 hours in the kitchen today. 🥱 We just got home after making two trips to stock the market in the snow and cold. It feels so good to sit down.

Now you can have your very own peice of Freeda! Gluten free sourdough starters will be available at the market starting tomorrow. This starter can easily be converted to a traditional sour dough starter. ❤️

My first attempt at gluten free sourdough was a success! Crunchy crust, soft and flavorful on the inside. I can’t wait to get your feedback! We will have free samples on Monday and some loaves for sale. ❤️

First trial run of Gluten Free bread in process! It’s not a secret, I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to making bread. This is a learning process and I don’t mind sharing the lessons, errors, and successes along the way. Hopefully, these posts will inspire you to tackle something you have never done before without fear of failure. If you don’t have an occasional failure, you aren’t pushing yourself hard enough!
Now, before I started this project, I did a lot of research and reading. I came up with 12% of a plan 🤣 and made some process accommodations based on the quantity I wanted to make and equipment I have. So, today I turned my dough out on my surface, added additional gf flour because it was pretty wet. Once it was to the consistency I thought it should be 🤷‍♀️, I measured out my dough with a scale and now she’s in the proofer. Stay tuned!

Feeling a little blah lately? Turmeric Shots are back and reformulated! Made with Turmeric, Ginger, Lemons, Honey, and Cayenne Pepper. These will be available in the market on Monday.
Freeda update- today was my first attempt at making gluten free bread dough. I had a carefully written out plan. Started by making my gluten free flour blend. Got distracted. The blend requires 5 ingredients that are all the same color. I think got through that little glitch fine though. I then started making my dough and completely underestimated how much flour blend I would need. I tossed in some 1:1 gluten free flour to get to the number of grams I needed. 🥴 Mixed it in batches since I multiplied my recipe x8. Covered it and it will go in the fridge at 8pm after it puffs up a bit. We will see what happens tomorrow!

St. Gregory Parish Dinner this evening! Pulled chicken sandwiches, green beans, potato salad, lasagna, garlic bread, and salads. We love and appreciate our repeat customers. An added plus, we always run into community friends and family! ❤️
