Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! Growing up immersed in my culture, I didn’t realize until later how deeply it shaped me—how I do business, how I create, and how I collaborate with my community. The kinship rooted in our community is paving the way for many others, and I’m beyond grateful for the resilience and strength of the Indigenous people. I’m inspired by all the entrepreneurs stepping forward, carrying our legacy forward.

As our creative projects grow, I’ve made it a habit to pause, reflect, and fill myself with gratitude. Each production, with its tight timelines, flower substitutions, shifting from plan A to E, gathering extra hands, and managing logistics from start to finish, demands immense energy and focus. From pre-planning to solving issues on the fly, everything requires special attention. My goal with every event is to surpass expectations. Sometimes I overbuy, sometimes Mother Nature throws a curveball, but when the client says thank you—or, like today, books us for another event—I’m elated!

On days like this, I love to think back on all the roles I’ve held that led me here. In high school, being a florist wasn’t even on my radar. To call myself that today is humbling beyond words. I’m forever grateful for this gift God gave me, revealed in one of the toughest seasons of my life. “From graves to gardens” has truly marked my story, and each opportunity to showcase what the Lord has placed in my heart and hands is a victory. I love what I do and can’t wait to see what future projects hold!
