I had the tables turned on me Saturday. I went from being the wedding planner to the mother of the groom at my son's wedding.
Special thanks to Big Four Cafe for an amazing meal, Jeff Batta and his catering team at The Brau Haus, for keeping everyone happy with their bar service, Elizabeth Hall and her outstanding day of coordinating expertise, Celeste Manriquez and her wonderful son Dolfi, and Olivia and Ella Meer for their help in executing a flawless dinner service.

And of course, we had the best party space...the Party Place for the reception. Sunshine Sisters Plant Shop brought the natural beauty of a summer garden to life with their stunning greenery, seamlessly blending with fresh floral bouquets to create an enchanting summer garden. The Party Place's amazing new patio furniture along with Negangard Tent & Party Rental's gorgious tent, created a festive outdoor party space.

I would highly recommend all these professionals to anyone looking for an amazing wedding event experience.

I love my job. But when you are surrounded by love all day long, every day, how can you not love your job. I have to admit though, that I am not the most creative person. But I am so lucky to have Maddi Vohland of Sunshine Sisters Plant Shop as my neighbor. I was playing around today with my planter boxes and I went into Sunshine Sisters Plant Shop and asked Maddi what I could do to help my brides who want that summer garden decor look. She had the perfect answer - see photos.

Brides if you want to give your wedding a summer garden vibe, stop in and see Maddi. She rents her plants out. The Party Place is now accepting wedding reservations for the 2025 and 2026 wedding season. No one can beat our prop inventory - and best of all its now included in the price - that's over $30,000 worth of items.

A Perfect Day - Saturday, May 11 begins with Touch A Truck at the RomWeber Marketplace back parking lot 11 am to 1 pm. Free hot dogs and water while supplies last courtesy of Big Four Cafe, free hats for the kids while supplies last, wonderful Mother's Day gifts at RomWeber Marketplace, shop for gorgeous plants at Sunshine Sisters Plant Shop, grab a scoop of premium ice cream made the old fashion way at The Daily Scoop - Batesville, shop over 50 stores under one roof at the historic RomWeber Marketplace. And if that isn’t enough, be a kid again at the Batesville Kiwani’s carnival in the town square. Grab a bite to eat at Shift Restaurant and Bar and end the night with a laugh with Dr. Jon's Comedy Hypnosis at the Gibson Theatre. It’s a great day in Batesville.

Join us for our Annual Batesville Mainopoly! Here is how you can play -

This year participants will have the entire week of May 6-11 to get their Mainopoly board stamped. Boards can be picked up at various locations starting April 29th- Lil Charlie's, Amack's Well, Schmidt's, and Batesville Library.

Once you have your board, you're ready to play! Simply stop by the businesses on your Mainopoly board and get your board stamped. Businesses will have different activities, specials, sales, etc for you to enjoy!

Turn in your board by May 15th at the community chest boxes (located at the same places you can pick up boards) for a chance to win a deck of Monopoly Deal cards and $20 chamber bucks- there will be 5 winners!!

May 10th from 6-10pm. Must be 21+ to participate.

May 11th at 7:30pm, Doors open at 6:30pm. This is a family friendly event! Dr. Jon's Comedy Hypnotist show is performed all over the country on cruise ships, in high schools, etc! Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Beer, wine, and concession will be available.

During this holiday season it was such a reward to be able to have a special Christmas party for some very special children. We donated the use of our Party Place for the best Christmas party and teamed up with SEI Voices for Children, Inc. to provide some holiday fun that included a visit from Santa. Many local, small businesses helped -@WRBI Radio 103.9's Annie Nunley and Brent Lee, All State Insurance's Mary Huntington, Honeysuckle Haus's Leeann and Mike Shroder, Ison's Family Pizza, Schmidt Bakery, Tim Weberding Woodworking, The Daily Scoop - Batesville ice cream shop, Batesville Fire and Rescue, RomWeber Party Place, Cierra’s Club, So Loved Kids Clothing Closet, 812 Hair Valley, and many CASA volunteers and board members. You know He's making a list and checking it twice; gonna find out who's naughty and nice. So be nice this holiday season and pay it forward to help keep the magic of Christmas alive.

Once home to the RomWeber Furniture Company, we completely restored the over 130 year old factory, enhancing the original construction elements that include hand hewn post beams, hard wood floors and lighting with a host of modern day amenities such as air conditioning. We are southeastern Indiana’s premier wedding venue. Host your ceremony and reception, all in one air conditioned location. Our brides room provides a plush, comfortable, rustic yet modern room dedicated to the bride and her party where makeup, hair and pre-ceremony relaxation can take place in historic luxury. Gentlemen, don’t despair, our grooms room provides luxurious leather sofa and love seat, vintage factory coffee table and refrigerator all surrounded by historic paneled walls.

It is ideal for anyone looking for a memorable venue, unlike any other in the area for their wedding, party or conference. We have a large collection of historic and vintage props available for renting. They include century old original work benches, factory carts and doors used in the RomWeber Furniture Company. We also have lighting options including chandeliers, head table backdrops, curtains, lighted hanging vintage ladder, screens and so much more to make your vision come true.

The Party Place easily accommodates 400 guests for a sit down dinner with an adjacent area for food serving and staging area. Clean and airy restrooms with a separate kitchen area with a private entrance are located in the adjoining lobby area. Adjacent outdoor area provides a perfect setting for additional entertaining and can easily be tented. A separate room for hosting the ceremony or to add a living room setting, with furniture, for your guests is available. Brides can now host their ceremony and reception all in one convenient setting including a brides room and separate bar area.

With the ability to begin decorating the Wednesday before the event, brides can create their dream vision for their special day in an unhurried, leisurely fashion, eliminating stress and frustration.
