River Road Records announces the release of a new Rusty Bladen single, recorded live at the December 31, 2023, New Year’s Eve show at the Clifty Inn In Madison, Indiana. The April 19, 2024 release is a live full-band version of the Bladen original “Cumberland Lake” and features Rusty Bladen and The Livin’ Daylights. The track, recorded live and mixed by Eric Foster, is the first-ever official band version recording of the song. The band will celebrate the release with a full band show at the Bier Hall Event Factory in Batesville, Indiana on April 20!

The sold-out NYE show was a night of high-energy homegrown rock and roll. The band includes Jackson Bladen (keyboards), Marty Miller (bass), Tyler Brindel (drums), and “Spike” Boone (sax). The band rocked through a gritty and sweaty two sets of music, featuring a large dose of Bladen originals and a mix of get-on-your-feet rock and roll covers.

“Cumberland Lake” tells the tale of a boat trip to Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, and is “mostly true” according to Bladen, with some of the names changed “to protect the guilty.” For several years, Bladen has taken a three-day trip to Lake Cumberland, both vacationing and performing for dozens of boaters who tie together for one of his performances. The song tells that story.

Coming to southeast Indiana (Batesville) near Cincinnati to The Biergarten Bier Hall Event Factory a rock/blues concert event. Nationally touring artist Alex Lopez and his band The Xpress live in concert on tour performing songs from their NEW top ten Billboard charting album "Looking for a change" plus rock/blues classic - Saturday March 23rd starting at 8:00PM.

All proceeds go to the band.
$10 at the door.
