Growing Dahlias from seed often means you get a lot of flowers that are really bright reds and purples..and maybe not exactly what florist are looking for.

This gem from bloomed over the weekend and I feel this pink color would definitely be a winner in some beautiful bouquets…

Been slowing down big time this month as we prepare for our little boy to be born in August. This summer heat is no joke at 8 months pregnant 🤰.

I have been so overwhelmed with all the support this year and can’t wait to back in the Fall with lots of fresh new flowers and a little baby in tow at pop ups in Baton Rouge..

It is my first year to grow purple/pink/red varieties of anemone flowers and I have to say I am loving them. The colors are so rich and they really stand out…the 🐝 and 🐞 are definitely noticing them too. ☺️

They are still slight shorter then my typical black and white anemones…anyone else get the same thing?

Tulips are so beautiful left alone, just in mass in a bouquet. But sometimes it’s nice to reflex (open) up the tulip and appreciate the beauty inside.

💐 from last spring.

Been spending every afternoon in the garden. Adding compost and putting in bulbs of all kinds. It’s a very dirty job but so so worth it in the spring.

This is what I love about gardening. It makes you pay attention to the seasons and plan ahead for the future.
