Meet Danny a highly decorated retired Marine!!!
Who has seen many tour of duties!
We met Danny tonight when he waited on us at the Sevierville Tennessee Cracker Barrel! Wow what an amazing kind person! It’s amazing how the Lord puts people in your path and into your life!

Danny lived with his wife just outside  Beaumont Texas until hurricane Katrina destroyed their entire farm! They then moved to Sevierville Tennessee where they made a new home! There youngest son met ,fell In love and
married a young girl from Sevierville and they had a little baby girl but a few years back Danny’s son and his wife were tragically killed in a car accident! Danny and his wife decided they would jump in and play the role of parents a
And raise their granddaughter!

Their daughter-in-law who was killed along with their son her mom and dad were much much older and it was a little more difficult for them to solely play that role so Danny and his wife decided not to move back to Texas and stay in Sevierville so that that little girl could have all of her grandparents help raise her!!

Dannys wife told Danny she said “ if we’re gonna become parents again might not be a bad idea to get a couple of part-time jobs to help out” so Danny not hesitating one bit went and got him a job waiting tables at 63 years old at Cracker Barrel!

A retired United States Marine who has been to hell and back fighting for our country in many many foreign countries put on an apron at the local Cracker Barrel to help raise a little extra money to help raise his granddaughter and didn’t think twice about it he just jumped in and did it!

Something special about Danny as has he reached down to put my coffee on the table he was wearing a Scooby Doo watch I said you like Scooby Doo he said I love Scooby Doo at that moment I knew I’d met a friend for life! His story touched my heart and warmed my soul!! Danny on behalf of myself and Nicole Elmore who you met tonight we just wanna thank you again for being a scholar  and a gentleman!! For being a hero to this great country for putting your life on the line so that we could be free here at home and for going back to work just to help raise your granddaughter wow what an amazing testament an amazing story , you are first class sir in my book and one hell of a Marine.
