MLK Holiday BR - Vendor Fair

Rescheduled

Geaux Ride has rescheduled the event to February 24, 2024.

This grant will cover fees for 10 Vendors!

MLK Night Out is a glow in the dark unity bicycle ride from Geaux Ride to KOK Wings & Things located in Electric Depot on Government Street.

This event expects 50 to 100 participants, with the ability for vendors to attract walk up clients as well.

This week, Geaux Ride was presented with a grant to host a vendor fair on Martin Luther King, Jr's Birthday!

This grant will cover fees for 10 Vendors!

MLK Night Out is a glow in the dark unity bicycle ride from Geaux Ride to KOK Wings & Things located in Electric Depot on Government Street.

In 2020, Geaux Ride was blessed to serve so many people during the pandemic. The family pictured above would get together every Christmas to spend time together before the holiday. Everything was closed in 2020 except Geaux Ride. We became their new Christmas family tradition. Yesterday was a blessing to have everyone back for another holiday celebration! 🎄

Thank you all for embracing an idea of sharing bike riding with a community that desperately needed a new way to come together with family, friends and loved ones. You have been the greatest gift to me, my family and my business!

2023 Christmas Bicycle Giveaway

Geaux Ride Health and Wellness Group 501(c)(3) was established with the core mission of promoting wellness and eco-friendly living in the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana through bike riding. Our ongoing community rides have revealed a crucial aspect of realizing our mission: ensuring access to bicycles for children who may not have the means to obtain them.

Our goal for this giveaway is to provide 50 bikes to deserving children in the Banks, Zion City, Brookstown, Melrose East, Belaire, South Baton Rouge, Tigerland, Valley Park, Dixie, Gardere, Glen Oaks, and Sherwood area. To ensure these bikes reach the hands of those who need them the most, we are partnering with local schools and non-profit programs to identify children with the greatest need.

Your charitable donations are extremely appreciated to help bring health and wellness to the Baton Rouge community!

Bicycle Recycling Program

The gift of bicycles for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations has been a tradition for decades. As we know, children out grow bicycles, COVID ended, interests change and bicycles become a monument in our garage or attic.

This year, Geaux Ride Health and Wellness Group 501(c)(3) will be collecting donations of gently used bicycles to give to children, adults, individuals, families and organizations in need to provide not only joy and exercise, but a means of daily transportation as well.
