Juan “Bomb” Chavana, hailing from Houston, Texas, is a fighter who embodies resilience and determination. Raised in tough neighborhoods, Juan credits his parents for pulling him out of that environment and inspiring him to pursue a brighter future. His competitive mindset pushed him to always strive to be the best version of himself, a drive that led him to discover mixed martial arts through his school friends.

In 2016, Juan moved to College Station, Texas, and found a home at Brazos Valley MMA (BVMMA). Since then, he’s immersed himself in the world of combat sports, dedicating 8 years to Muay Thai and kickboxing, and 6 years to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he currently holds a Purple Belt.

Not only is Juan chasing his dream of becoming a professional MMA fighter, but he’s also a coach at BVMMA, sharing his knowledge of kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu with children and adults alike. With a team-oriented motto, “help each other grow,” Juan is committed to both his own progress and the development of others in the sport.

As he prepares for tomorrow’s fight, Juan is ready to face Nakia Brown once again, a fighter he defeated two years ago in the second round. While acknowledging the growth his opponent has likely experienced, Juan is confident in his own journey and progression since their last encounter. Focused and determined, he plans to bring his best self into the cage, eager to remind the audience why he’s earned the name “Bomb.” With each fight, Juan inches closer to his ultimate dream of becoming College Station’s next pro MMA champion, following in the footsteps of his coach, the town's only UFC fighter.

Brooks, a proud graduate of Woodlawn High School, was no stranger to competition in his early years, having grown up playing basketball. Known for his bold fighting style, Brooks sports a tiger tattoo, a symbol of his strength and fearlessness.
