If you have some time this week, on Thursday February 13th the Bay Arenac Career Center is having their annual open house from 4-7. See where some of your tax money is going to support education.
I went there 50 years ago when it was in its infancy and it was great then. It has only gotten better over time.
I made a career out of my education at the skill center. I went on to further my education at MSU and eventually opened Country Garden Flowers from the ground up. After 42 years we're still at it. Cannot say enough good about BACC. Great programs, wonderful instructors, and pleasant learning environment.

Just a little reminder that Country Garden Flowers will be closed for our mid winter break from 1:00pm Friday, February 7th thru Monday February 17th.

With the Lafayette bridge being closed now, there has been a lot less traffic driving by and we have had quite a few quite days business wise. This seems the perfect time to rest and refresh. We'll see when we get back. Enjoy the snow.

Sorry I forgot to make this post sooner. We are closed thru Monday January 6th for a little break for the holidays. We'll be back open Tuesday January 7th at 8:30.🙂 Thank you to all our customers over the past year. We really appreciate you, your business, and your understanding as we gradually transition towards an unknown retirement date.

We just got out last batch of beautiful poinsettias in today. They are exceptional quality. You may think all poinsettias are all the same, not so. There is a big difference between supermarket and mass merchandiser plants and those you find at Country Gardens. Our poinsettias are strong and vibrant and full. When sending as a gift, go with the best and don't shortchange yourself. Lot of colors to choose from right now. Of course, we can delivery your plant if needed anywhere in our delivery area, Bay City, Essexville, Munger, Reese, Kawkawlin, Linwood, and Auburn.

Oh my gosh. It's been so long since I've posted anything you've probably thought I left the earth. Well here are a few pics from this morning. While it's getting near the end, we still have some cemetery decorations available - blankets, mounds(small tree-like) and wreaths. We will have them til we run out of greens to make them. Oh, we can also deliver to the cemetery too if you have need for that.

Oh my gosh, I completely forgot. We just started our 42nd year at Country Garden Flowers. September 30th 1983- 2024. Time is certainly flying by. Here is a picture of our very first van, about 5 years old at the time.

Of course these are sunflowers, picture taken in our back cooler. Also grown here at our shop. There are many varieties available, these are pollenless so you don't have to worry about them making a mess, unlike your husband. Happy, ha, Haa! That includes me.

Nothing says summer like zinnias. This is the Queen series, Lemon peach I think is the color. Beautiful variety. A nice double, compact flower. Home grown here at Country Garden Flowers.

More interesting, under used garden flowers. Ageratum or floss flower is a nice filler flower in arrangements. Can take the place of babies breath or statice. Has a soft fragrance.

Started these seeds in January 2025. Not knowing what I was really getting. 8 months later, here is what we have. Didn't realize it is in the Spider plant species. Kind of interesting and a little different. Might have to re-pot them into some larger pots to see how they fill in .
