Come and get your BLOOMS!! We are opening for pick-your-own flowers this Saturday, August 9th from 9am-4pm. Our plan is to remain open through Applefest (October 3-5) weekend! Our current hours are everyday from 9am-4pm but may fluctuate throughout PYO season. Please check our website/google page for our current hours!

How do PYO flowers work? It’s simple…we give you a vase or bucket to fill and some snips to cut your flowers with. Depending on the size of your vase (either $20 or $30) or your bucket ($70), you fill it up and pay after you fill. The vase in this photo is a medium sized vase. Then take home & ENJOY! Fresh-picked blooms are beautiful and vibrant for at least a week after you pick them.

5000 baby plants have been tucked into the sweet, sandy Bayfield soil this season! A few thousand more to go so we can offer PYO through Applefest weekend. These little plants are a new variety I’m trying this year, an heirloom variety of carnation. They are bicolor orange and supposed to have a lovely scent so I can’t wait for harvest! Our tentative pick-your-own opening date is August 2 🧡

And so the 2025 growing season BEGINS!! We had an especially busy winter and this spring seems to have snuck up on us, but we are thrilled to be starting seeds (now) and getting little plants in the ground (soon).

My trail building husband () graciously carried these two bags of seed starting mix, which is my absolute favorite to supplement our own seed mix. It’s a great product, from Wisconsin, sold at the !

As the sun has set on another Bayfield Applefest, it has brought our pick-your-own season to a close. A huge thanks to all the flower lovers who supported us this year! We had a blast sprouting, planting, nurturing, and watching all of you enjoy the harvest.

We will still be open (by appointment only) until a hard frost hits and the hardy varieties we grow for dried flowers, like statice, gomphrena, and strawflower are still plentiful. Send us a message if you’d like to set up an appointment to pick!

We had a beautiful morning for our final Yoga in the Blooms session for this season 💜 Pictured is our wonderful instructor Maria, who fit in so perfectly with the blooms! (And super graciously offered to teach this class when our original instructor fell ill…thankfully she is on the mend!!)

A huge thanks to all who came out for Yoga in the Blooms this summer. We *loved* seeing all of you enjoy the flow, the flowers, and the farm. Stay tuned for our Yoga in the Blooms dates in summer 2025!

YES we are still open for pick-your-own blooms!! Come and see us this weekend, the weather is forecast to be *beautiful*! We are hoping to stay open until mid-October!

We are open everyday, except Tuesday, from 8-4. We remain open when Blue Vista Farm is closed for a couple weeks ☀️

The early morning chill turned into a beautiful sunny day as we enjoyed our second Yoga in the Blooms! We had an intimate class with instructor Christine Kegel leading us wonderfully with Vinyasa Flow.

If you missed this session, we still have one remaining Yoga in the Blooms sessions on September 21st. We would love to see you at the farm!
