Today Florage went to the office and workshopped with Anthony here on his lunch break where he was able to dye his lady some flowers in her 💙 color. We talked all about why there aren't many blue flowers in nature (they are easily overlooked by pollinators as they blend into the background of the sky above). He looks so proud of the gift he made.
Hopefully we can cook up another flower science experiment for the lunchtime before mother's day. It was 🌺 fun!

It's always special when you get to design for family.
This bridal shower is for my cousin . We went for a classy and timeless green and white seasonal display with elements grown at my garden or foraged locally. The David Austin roses smelled heavenly. (I even had to save 2 bumblebees 🐝 who lost their direction and found their way indoors to the posey lined tables). Happy it came together almost as lovely as the couple themselves, Maeve and Mark! 🎉

Tulip days are upon us.
That heat wave forced much of the Florage garden bulbs to bloom early and all at once. Nature must have known I needed some fresh color in my life and I can be greatful for that.
Hearing the birds and seeing the bees and seeing color puts me in a much better headspace. 🐝

The Florage Painted Tulip trials continue.
We grow lots and lots of white flowers and dye them via Osmosis (through their stem or roots as they drink).
This blend was to come out a 'charcoal' color. Not quite.
I think we need to go back to the drawing board and choose a warmer tone to mix in to the formula.
This one is pretty though. Especially since there are very few Blue flowers in nature.maybe this formula will be called "ink".
Do you have a name suggestion for this tulip color?
