Brittney here: Forever Moments is 2 year old! I am beyond blessed and happy for how much this business has grown in such a short time. And yes, while I know 2 years isn't short, it is for being a business owner! If you had told me even 5 years ago that this is where I would be today I wouldn't believe it. I originally started Forever Moments because my husband and I wanted to start a family and I had to decide between staying a music teacher and putting my child in daycare full time or quitting to be a stay at home mom full time. I prayed so hard for months during my first pregnancy and God opened and closed doors for me to make it clear where I am heading. I came to the conclusion that why can't I have the best of both worlds?! As a workaholic, I didn't want to give up on my aspiration for helping others, while at the same time I didn't want to lose all those little moments with my loved ones. I decided that I couldn't get that family time back, and so I started Forever Moments as a way to stay at home working (a majority of the time 😉) while taking care of my family of now 4!
I have so many people to thank for helping me get to where I am today, starting with God who will always be first! Then of course all of my friends and family who support and encourage me every step I've taken thus far. That also includes all of my friendors (wedding vendor friends) I've met along the way! My lovely husband Nick deserves a special shout out for supporting me in all my endeavors as we navigate our 3rd year of marriage together!
I also want to give a special thank you to for teaching me how to be the best wedding planner I can be and for continuing to support me by allowing me to be a part of their community of other planners that support community over competition.

Part 2 of Thomas and Elizabeth's beautiful wedding day! Their wedding colors, cherry blossom pink and mint green, really brought out the beauty of their spring wedding. One of my favorite decor elements was the napkin fold and name cards coming together to look like a tulip on each place setting! The bride even arranged the floral centerpieces herself with Costco flowers!

Hot take: The biggest sticker shock of wedding planning is the florals. Florists play a huge role in bringing the wedding vision to life, but many times couples end up posting on public forums about needing florals "that don't cost an arm and a leg".
From a planner's perspective, the most common reason is that couples are uneducated on the cost of florals and therefore do not budget enough money for them. Similarly, we have found that some couples rope florals into the decor budget, in which decor tends to be less of a priority in the budget. These reasons, combined with the rabbit hole of Pinterest, are a recipe for sticker shock when inquiring with florists.
Wedding planners can help by educating couples on the average costs of floral pieces and advising couples on how much to allot in the budget based on the couple's needs.
Forever Moments uniquely includes a meeting dedicated to florals in all design packages to provide these services, along with finding a florist just right for the couple, and even working with the florist to ensure the couple is happy with their floral choices.

Brittney here: I am so excited to announce that we are fully booked for 2024! To provide a healthy work/life balance for myself and my team, we have decided to cap our availability for 13 wonderful couples this season! Don't worry if you missed out on booking us as we will still be offering a la carte services for 2024 if our calendar allows 😉 Our 2025 calendar still has plenty of availability as well!
I also couldn't be more thankful for the love and support I have received from you all over the last few weeks after giving birth to my second child. We are so happy to close out the 2023 wedding season with Tyler and Kristen's wedding on 12/2. They were not only one of the best couples we have ever worked with, but their wedding from start to finish was filled with joy and beauty in all the little details. Deciding on your wedding party may seem easy, but in reality, your choice can make or break your wedding day experience. Take into consideration the following points to ensure you make a great decision:
1) Each member of your wedding party should be someone who immediately comes to mind as someone you want supporting you. If you are looking to add someone to your wedding party simply because you want to balance the number of people on each side, then that person on the back burner of your mind may cause resentment later on if they don't step up to your expectations.
2) Each member needs to have the time and money to support you. While being financially available seems shallow, it's true that the wedding party is expected to pay for things like their attire, your bachelor/bachelorette party, and traveling/accommodation costs if they don't live nearby. Also, consider if each member has the time to help you with any planning/day of needs. For example, if someone has several young children, they may not have time to attend important pre-wedding events or may be distracted on the wedding day itself. If you aren't sure if a member can step up to these expectations, communicate to them right at the start what you expect so that they don't feel pressured to continue being in your wedding party later on.
3) Each wedding party member should truly want to support you through thick and thin, and not just because they want to hold a special title. Wedding planning can be overwhelming and stressful, and your team needs to be in your corner to help calm you down and pick up the phone to offer encouragement. If you have any reason to believe a member will be MIA or won't take care of you on your wedding day, then you may need to reconsider them as a choice.

We are so excited to share Jesus and Carla's wedding day album we received this past weekend!
This couple hired us to plan their backyard wedding from start to finish. Our favorite part would have to be designing and DIYing the decor, such as the invitation suite, table numbers, and es**rt cards from (which by the way check out Brittney's previous reel on her hand pressing the wax stamp seals for the wraps and envelopes), along with individually pressing dried flowers to the taper candles to have them match the wildflower wedding theme!

Worried about inclement weather on your wedding day?
Couples who wish to have a partial or full outdoor wedding should consider the following tips:
1) Avoid choosing a venue that doesn't offer an indoor option. If the venue doesn't have an indoor option, then make sure the venue can accommodate a tent size appropriate for your guest count.
2) Always have a backup plan. An alternative timeline and floor plan will allow your vendors to stay on top of your wedding day and prevent any last-minute changes. Last-minute changes can create unnecessary stress and increase the likelihood of errors.
3) Be flexible and trust your wedding vendors. If you hire experienced wedding professionals, they will know how to adapt to these types of circumstances and reassure you that they will do everything in their power to make your wedding day magical!

A wedding day emergency kit is always a must have! Wedding planning can be stressful enough as it is, let alone worrying over something going wrong on the big day. As a type A wedding planner and parent of 2, I like to be prepared for any potential hiccup, big or small. Some of my most requested items on wedding days are antacids, band-aids, safety pins, and tape. I've run into all kinds of incidents that my emergency kit has come in handy for, such as using stain remover on a wedding dress after chocolate was spilled on it, using a hot glue gun to temporarily fix a heel, and sewing a bridesmaid's ripped dress 30 minutes before the ceremony, to name just a few! 4 ways wedding professionals can support each other and foster community: 1.) Remind your clients to leave a review for not just yourself but for all of their wedding pros! I personally mention it in my service wrap-up packet I send to clients a few weeks before the wedding day. 2.) If you interacted with another wedding pro for a mutual client, take the time to write them a review yourself! This goes a very long way in showing a wedding pro that you acknowledge their skills and want to work with them again! 3.) Like and follow wedding pros on their social media pages. Interacting with them through liking, commenting, and sharing their posts is a win-win as it keeps your business at the forefront of their mind when they get asked for vendor recommendations. 4.) Above all, remember to prioritize community over competition. There is plenty of business to go around, and when you support fellow wedding pros instead of treating them like competition, they will remember your kindness and may even send couples your way if they are already booked! We couldn't let National Puppy Day go by without giving a shout out to all the fur babies who love us unconditionally! Are you thinking about including yours in your wedding day? Here are some ways you can: 1) Include them in the processional! If your venue allows it and you believe your dog will behave, consider having a close friend or family member walk them down the aisle. They can then either be handed off to you as the couple or continue to stay with that friend or family member until its time to walk down the aisle as newlyweds! 2) Take family photos with them! Whether they can take part in the festivities or not, plan some special time in your photographer's schedule to take photos with your dogs. 3) Honor them in the decor! Some example can include: printing their faces on items like signage or napkins, putting figurines of them on the cake, and creating dog-themed wedding favors.
