Ad Hoc initiated in January of 2012. Since then we have produced 8 shows as well as Co-produced 1 show with the Brooklyn based theatre group Aztec Economy. Today is a big day for cinema in Southeast Texas (and the Boomtown film festival) as the Jefferson Theatre inaugurates its massive new 4K laser projector! Movies at the Jeff will now be bigger, brighter and sharper than before thanks to this long awaited upgrade that's been years in the works.

Beaumont's movie palace also installed a superior screen, made improvements to the sound system, and gained the ability to exhibit Digital Cinema Packages, which includes first run films that are shown at the multiplex.

There's no better month than October to rediscover movies at the Jeff with their "13 Nights of Halloween" horror series. You can also enjoy the upgrade at any of their regular Classic Movie Nights, and in February when the historic Jefferson Theatre once again plays centerpiece venue to the Boomtown Film & Music Festival!
