My brain in the kitchen...
3:15 begin kalua pork. Realized I only had tenderloins, so I found a part of a ham leg to add the fat required for this dish. After I got the Kalua pork cooking, I now have a ham bone so I put it in a big pot and added water. Not sure what that was going to be yet. As I was looking in the freezer, I found some peas. So I made ham and pea soup. But when I found the frozen peas, I found pork and shrimp filling I had made for potstickers, and salmon my mom gave me. While the filling and salmon were thawing I found a huge head of napa cabbage in the garage fridge. It didn't look so good. I cut off many layers and found beautiful napa cabbage in the middle. I decided to blanch the cabbage to make cabbage rolls with the filling. Then I realized I had extra filling, so I looked for potstickers wrappers, but didn't have any. So, the next best thing was rice paper. So I made little eggrolls with rice paper and fried them while I placed the stuffed cabbage in the bamboo steamer. While those things were steaming and frying, I seasoned the salmon and put it in the air fryer. When the salmon was done, I scooped out the salmon and left the salmon skin to fry further for crispy salmon skin for Richard... at 6pm, the kalua pork was super tender and ready to shred... this is often how I end up with a table full of food. Dinner was served at 6:30.
