Tips from a NH Wedding Photographer: Keeping your Bling Bright and Shiny Edition!

If you’ve ever wondered how to keep your engagement ring glitzing so brightly everyone can't help but ask you to show it off to them, you can’t miss this!

There are a few rules of thumb when it comes to keeping your jewelry sparkly clean.

1. Never go to sleep with your ring on because one of the prongs could get stuck in your sheets and cause the diamond to come loose!

2. Make sure to take it off when you’re doing manual work to ensure it doesn’t get dirty or scuffed up.

3. Do your best to avoid putting lotion on your hands with your ring on! The lotion will make your diamond look cloudy.

Voila!!! Now you know how to keep that new ring sparkling just as much as the day you said “Yes!”

Something I've learned over the last few years:

You can't make everyone happy.

It took me a long time to realize this and to be ok with the fact that my style isn't for everyone.

"Can we bring our dog?"

YES! The answer to that will ALWAYS be yes!

Also, can I pet them? What kind of dog? Will you be bringing them to your wedding? Can I gush over them for a few minutes, because I'll be honest I have no self control when I see a pup! In fact I can guarantee if you bring a dog, cat, any kind of fur-baby family member with you during your session, I will get down on the ground with them and hold a conversation with said pet.

By now, I've either convinced you I'm the crazy animal lady or we just became best friends!

Expectation vs. Reality:

A lot of people think my photographer life looks like parties full of glitz and glamour, but in actuality, it more resembles shooting, culling, editing, and delivering galleries while learning to navigate myself and my 2 littles through the grief ocean since the loss of their father and my partner in this adventure called life.

It may not always be glamorous, but I’m grateful for every long, exhausting day! Because every day brings more time with my kiddos, and more memories to make to with them.
