We received a negative review and so we wanted to face it head on! (Our response is below) We thrive on feedback, so while it might sting, itโ€™s just a way for us to keep improving.

If you have visited Kids Unplugged, would mind SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE? We need to show all the good that we do and not let our few bad reviews be the hallmark of our business!

Good morning! I am so sorry that you felt our place was so run down. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I think maybe a little history can explain our charm. I started this company almost 9 years ago with 2, $5000 loans. I bought a few pieces of equipment and over time have bootstrapped our way to becoming a Midcoast Maine business that has served thousands. Our community loves us for who we are (Iโ€™ll add a link that gives context to that. ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and know that while all of our equipment isnโ€™t the newest, itโ€™s clean, repaired and yes, may have some duct tape in a few places.

When we franchise and get an investor to open our second and third locations, (because people are always asking us to open in other areas!!) I cannot wait to have all new equipment!! Our plan was never to have gently used equipment but alas the American dream had allowed us to still have a loved, sweet little business that also has hundreds of 5 star reviews.

Our biggest asset is our team, our inclusive approach to caring for and teaching children and I couldnโ€™t be prouder of my little business. I truly am sorry that you had a poor experience. I would love to talk with you about suggestions! If you know of any investors looking for a place to spruce up get to the next level, I would love to meet them. And, bad reviews always fuel us to do better and to get to the next level. It really does help so thank you!

As a single mom of 2 girls who have been primarily raised at our business, I need all the help I can get growing and improving our business.

Iโ€™m sure you are well versed in running a small business during and after COVID, so please if you wouldnโ€™t mind giving us some helpful advice I am all ears!

We are a family fun center that emphasizes active family play, learning, exploration and healthy interaction. Visually stimulating and affordable.

Our facility offers a relaxed environment where families can come and JUST PLAY. We often refer to our playgym as an โ€œextension of your living room.โ€ We have all the equipment you wish you had but canโ€™t fit into your house! Move the mats around, build forts, climb the climbing wall and equipment and jump on the trampoline! There is somethine for every age here... from babies to adults! We focus on the WHOLE family not just one age group.

Beyond offering our community a place to get energy out and play together, our other focus is on helping parents / gaurdians ENGAGE & IGNITE their child's imagination through active play & self directed play. We understand as a company, that not everyone has a creative brain or the steps they need to help encourage their child to use their imagination. We believe, that as parents, we need to SHOW our children HOW TO USE THEIR IMAGINATION. We believe that a parent's active involvement in play will spark that child's lifelong realization and discovery that they can and should use creative thinking not only in play but as a tool in life!

We believe in exposure to different types of physical activity is the key to healthy relationships with exercise. We offer gymnastics, ninja warrior classes, yoga, climbing and free play so that all may try!
