💚We raised $1000! Ms. Lee painted over 30 faces and we raffled off a KU Goodies bag!!

💙Thank you to all the amazing people who came and played with us. We loved this night so much we’ve decided to make Friday nights open gym night! 5pm-7pm starting next session!

Dear Kids Unplugged Family and Friends,

WE HAVE RAISED ALMOST $8,400 in the first 2 weeks!!
(we had a donation outside of GoFundMe!)
We have a little under 2 WEEKS TO GO! We can do this! 💪

We are so grateful for the support we’ve already received, but we still have a big hurdle to overcome. As we enter the final stretch, we’re facing a tight deadline – we need to raise $11,600 by September 30, 2024, to keep Kids Unplugged open and continue serving our amazing community. 🤞

The last few years have been tough for small businesses, and like many, we’ve faced staffing shortages, rising costs, and the ongoing challenges from COVID debt. We’ve done everything we can to push through, but right now, we need your help more than ever. 👩‍❤️‍👨

So far we've raised $6,638 in the first week that have come from 54 generous donors! We still have a long way to go but we know we can do this!

To help give people perspective on what we do at Kids Unplugged, here's a little about what we offer and HOW we offer it.

Obviously we are an indoor play gym! We have climbing walls, ball pits, climbing ninja rack and lides! You'll also see a lego table, chalk boards for drawing / painting, a toy bin with balls, stilts and tons of balance boards etc. In our big gym is where we have all of our gymnastics equipment and trampoline! We have 2 sets of bars, balance beams and lost of mats for flipping, jumping and obstacle course navigating!

BUT the most IMPORTANT thing about Kids Unplugged is the SIZE and AGE RANGE. We hear over and over how Kids Unplugged is the perfect size for families.

1. You don't have to worry about losing sight of your kiddo here! We're just big enough for dozens of people to play at once but small enough where you don't feel like you're going to lose your kiddo!

2. There is something for every age! Each weekend we have 3-5 birthday parties. And like many families, there comes ALL AGE RANGES from babies to teens! (And those awesome crazy adults that like to bounce and play too!) Our customers say over and over how awesome it is to rent a place where everyone has something fun to do. That is the magic of this place; STRESS FREE PLAY FOR ALL AGES. You feel at home BUT you don't have to clean after!!!

3.Inclusive for all ages and abilities! We pride ourselves on being a gym that offers classes like Gymnastics, Ninja classes and Real life Video Game that allows all abilities and ages to participate. Everyone should get the chance to experience GYMNASTICS and NINJA WARRIOR even if their not going to compete! Exposure and the chance to have fun is what we're all about!!!

4. Parents CAN PLAY WITH THIER KIDDOS! Take your shoes off and get in the gym! Jump! Climb and play with your kids! It's the best time to show them HOW TO HAVE FUN! And watch their faces when you do. It'll be all smiles!

This is a really hard post to write.

So many businesses have closed since Covid, and we've been so proud of lasting beyond Covid over the past 4 years. But, like all businesses, we have come to a critical tipping point where we have to push through, or close.

We have been here before and we have overcome these hard times but this time, the clock is against us. While we are exhausting all other avenues to figure out how to raise the funds needed, we decided to ask our community for help.

Over the past 8 years, we have served thousands of families. Most are local, but many are also returning summer families from far away. We want to serve thousands more, so please consider helping a small local business keep their doors open AND grow to our full potential. Our plans are big for the future but in order to get there we need to get through this gauntlet.

Any amount is appreciated and SHARING is helping too!!! Thank you to everyone who has helped in the past and future in the Kids Unplugged journey. WE LOVE YOU!!!!

And, as I always says, "Kids Unplugged is made from LOVE and DUCT TAPE." Meaning, it's all about heart and hard work.

Hi families,

We wanted to reach out because we have a development that we have to overcome. Many of you have been through the ups and downs with us and know that we always figure out a way to get through it!

But, we do want you to know that we have come to an unexpected point where we have to determine the future of Kids Unplugged in the next 30 days.

We plan on marching forward with our business BUT, we are up against a timeline that we need help to overcome! We have set up a gofundme account that explains in more detail where we are at. We are exhausting all possibilities outside of this Go Fund Me campaign to save our business. We just figured we should ask for help from those that love us!

We will keep you, our beloved families, updated in the next couple weeks. If you have purchased a class or a birthday party, as of now, it is still on! We are strong, persistent and resolute in our aim to keep our business going! But we really need help.

This speaks volumes to all the creative thinkers out there who sometimes don’t feel like they fit in!!!

I think this is what being neurodivergent often feels like!

Just because we use what we have differently, doesn’t make it bad or wrong 💚 (green heart emoji)

We didn’t “fail”, we just weren’t building a tower to begin with.

•It is about functioning differently than others do, and yet being treated like you are a failure as a person, because you don’t “measure up” to their unfair expectations.
