This year taught me a lot.
🌸 Flowers reminded me that nothing meaningful and truly beautiful can be rushed. 🌿 You all (you flower lovers, my community) reminded me why this work matters. 🤍 And patience showed up in the waiting, the uncertainty, and the slow moments that asked for trust. As someone who is not naturally patient, I have a feeling I’ll have to keep learning this one year after year. I’m privileged and humbled to keep learning this lesson.
In this world that keeps speeding up, I’m grateful to keep doing work rooted in nature, joy, and community.

Happy Thanksgiving flower fam (I’ve been thinking about calling you all the Floras - let me know your thoughts in the comments 😂)

I LOVE this holiday. Gathering those we love around shared food, laughter, and generosity. And a day where we focus on what we have to be grateful for is always worth celebrating in my book. I’m SO privileged to have an abundance of friends, family, community, and a roof over my head with food on the table. THANK YOU for your support and love of local flowers and Wild Flora.

But this holiday isn’t without its complexities. The genocide and land theft of North America’s native people. The disparaging of the land we stand on. All without any retribution or consequences (yet). Remember while we gather around plates of food, many call today the Day of Mourning. And many don’t have enough food to gather around.

I love you all, in spite of life’s complexity. May you remember what you’re grateful for and remember what has happened on this land (for those who live in the WRV - we live on Shoshone-Bannock land) 💜
