Ever heard of "Transparent Pie"? Ever tried it? This version is a historic favorite that originated in Maysville, Kentucky.

Imagine a pecan pie without the pecans . . . or a vanilla wafer in form of a pie (?).

It's not the prettiest dessert on the shelf, but it tastes pretty good.

This Kentucky Derby is a pie for the win. Imagine a warm chocolate chip cookie. Now imagine that in a flaky pie crust. We add roasted pecans and, upon request, a splash of bourbon. It is recommended that this treat be paired with a misty Kentucky morning and cup of coffee.

Mediterranean food is DEE-lish! We’re eating Greek today and just remembered that final payment for our 2023 trip to biblical/classical Greece is due on Monday, Feb 6.

But fear not, there is enough tzatziki sauce for this one that we’ve scheduled another for April of 2024!

If you like Butter Pecan ice cream, you need to jump all over this. Mama Z's Butter Pecan Cream Cheese is the pie version of this famous southern dessert. Imagine the nutty flavor of toasted pecans (1) infused into a crushed graham cracker crust (2) mixed with a smooth-as-silk creamy filling (did I mention a shot of maple syrup?) and (3) sprinkled on a homemade whipped cream topping. Take me home to Georgia, baby!
