Just a reminder that the FireHouse Cafe will close at 12:30 today and will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so our staff can enjoy quality time with family and friends.

We will be open normal hours 7:00-5:30 on Friday and then roll into the Holiday Season with our annual Holiday Crafters Market on Saturday Nov.30th from 1:00-6:00. Stop by and check out all the locally made gifts and our annual Yule Log.

Monday Music Nov. 25th at the FireHouse 3:30-5:00. Singer-songwriter Bob Paltrow is a classically trained keyboardist, performing originals and covers including rock, soul, pop and hiphop. Paltrow’s band Cats Like Us rocks the Whatcom and Skagit Valley music scenes.

This event is not ticketed. However, cash donations of appreciation are gladly accepted.

Pianist, vocalist, and composer Dawn Clement is a joyful and formidable force in the landscape of modern creative music. For over two decades, Clement has served as both a torchbearer of the jazz tradition and as a trailblazer in fresh sonic explorations.

Her Quintet will perform at the Firehouse this Wednesday, October 9th at 6:30pm.

“In all this world of jazz, there are very few individual voices, no matter what the instrument, but Dawn has come up with a voice that’s unique…” says legendary jazz trombonist Julian Priester.

FireHouse Monday Music 3:30-5:00- Simon Llewelyn Evans is an Australian singer-songwriter who has also recorded and performed under the band name “draw mountains There”. Called “a case apart. A special phenomenon” by Rootstime magazine in Belgium, his debut album was number 2 on the folk music charts in Australia.

Evans’ work explores sexuality, loss, death, spirituality and the slow subtle world of relationship. Having spent most of his life in Australia and the Fiji Islands, he recently moved to Bellingham with his wife and is finding new inspiration in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. He is currently touring to share his newly released album, Something Real.

This event is not ticketed. However, cash donations of appreciation are gladly accepted.
