HOMELESSNESS getting you down? Love live music? How about pigeons? The Pigeon & The Dove is a folk opera about the many causes of Homelessness. A mix of comedy, social justice, and dark yet danceable tunes. They are us, but for a tipping point. By singing these stories, we might make them easier to hear. But really...it’s about pigeons. - US premiere with shows in Bellingham + Seattle!

Looking for a unique musical experience? This is not like anything else - including 10 new original songs we haven’t recorded yet! It’s funny, sad, super potent, not too long, aaaaand the most important thing we have ever made.

Thanks to everyone who came out for last night's screening of "Breaking Boundaries." We especially want to thank director Dina Burlis and producer Melissa Azizi who joined us from Barcelona, Spain and Melbourne, Australia respectively for the Q&A afterwards. We had a good conversation with WWU Film Studies Assistant Professor Felicia Cosey moderating and conveying the audience's many questions.

We have had a lot of people reaching out and asking how they can help and/or donate to the FireHouse to help offset the cost of repairs due to Sunday’s break-in. Tax deductible Donations can be made via the Allied Arts of Whatcom County website , just click on the “Make a Donation” tab and select the box next to The FireHouse Arts and Events, https://www.alliedarts.org/support-the-arts/ , you can also donate at the FireHouse Cafe, and we have a Venmo account https://venmo.com/u/FireHouseEvents.

The community support and donations have been heart warming, we are definently feeling the love!

A few bad eggs do not define our wonderful community, thanks to all who have stopped by and expressed support, offered words of encouragement and hugs, and for the donations. Thank-you Bellingham for supporting the FireHouse, we will get through this “with a little help from our friends”! 🫶🏻

Use Venmo to connect with FireHouse Arts and Events () - Home of the FireHouse Cafe serving exceptional coffee drinks, scratch made baked goods, and a treasured Performing Arts Center for local performers.

Despite Sunday’s break-in the FireHouse is open for business and our baristas are serving smiles and tasty pastries.

Today from 3:30-5:00 we have Monday Music by Guitars and Gratitude. This is a no cost event but gratuity for the musicians is always welcomed.

Dispite bad things happening we cannot let them drag us down to their level. Live performances feed the soul and the Shows Must Go On!!

Well, it finally happened, the as****es broke in the FireHouse last night/this morning and shattered all our glass doors looking for cash. They got away with about $500.00 but did about $9000.00 worth of damage. This is devastating for small businesses and it needs to stop.

And the jerks took cookies! Thank goodness they didn’t steal our eggs……I would be inconsolable.

For those asking how they can help?

1. Catch these jerks that could care less about our community.

2. Support your local businesses, we are all experiencing extremely hard blows, senseless ones like this are really tough. We can only absorb so much before it’s just not worth it any more. Imagine this town without all the great locally owned businesses……..it would be pretty sad.
