More eagles this time it's the juveniles.
Bit of drama to this series: the first pic is one guy happily munching, then he looks up and sees another dude coming, then there is a bit of a scuffle, finally the challenger takes the prize.

The eagles are back!
The salmon are running on the Nooksack so the the eagles have finally arrive. Had a great time watching these beautiful guys feast.

Magical forests. It's been about 5 months since moving up to Bellingham and I don't regret it for one second. There are so many parks close by I am always amazed at the beauty, colours and texture in the forest.

Had a break in the rain to explore horseshoe bend trail. Didn't quite make it to the end as it for muddy and slippery.

Fun times exploring Mono lake last weekend.
Mono Lake is a saline soda lake in The eastern sierras. The lack of an outlet causes high levels of salts to accumulate in the lake. The towers are called Tufa and made up of limestone.
