We love so many of the DJs/Emcees that we get to work with. Come check out two of our favorites at our vendor open house this Saturday!

A DJ will play some good tunes for you, but a good Emcee will do much more. A good Emcee will keep the event moving along as it should and make your reception an “event” and not just a dinner after your ceremony. Good emcees are comfortable in large crowds and know how to talk on a microphone and command a crowd. They truly can make or break an event. Don’t take chances with this vendor - hire someone who has good reviews. We know a lot of good ones - here are two that will join us Saturday.

Couple Spotlight✨

Kyle & Kara

Married: April 27, 2024

How did you meet?
💕Kyle's childhood friend was dating Kara's co-worker; Kara and Kyle met at their New Year's Eve party. Kyle followed Kara around all night, but she wasn't interested because she was too busy with Grad school. After months of pursuing Kara, she finally agreed to go on a date with Kyle.

What moment were you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
💒Groom: After we leave the greenhouse (ceremony) and we were alone for the first time after getting married
Bride: When Kyle first saw me at the end of the aisle

Why did you choose The Legacy on Possum Run?
😍 It is almost exactly halfway between Kara's hometown, Kyle's hometown, and Columbus where they currently live. Additionally: their affordable prices and large guest capacity.

In a few words describe your theme or style for your wedding:
✨ Modern, edgy, botanical

Is there anything else you can tell us about your love story?
❤️ Our relationship started off differently than any other relationship we've had because we met on NYE of 2019. When we just started to get to know each other in March of 2020, the pandemic hit and the world went on lock down. We only went on 2 dates in public then for almost a year we were following social distancing and waiting for "the world" to open back up. It felt like forever until we could eat at a restaurant as a couple!

Do you have any advice for future couples in planning their wedding?
✨If you have the budget; hire a wedding planner! Planning all the little details can become overwhelming. If you don't have the budget (like us), make a conscious effort to have fun planning, and seriously consider a day-of wedding coordinator.

Any other advice?
✨Don't forget the reason for the wedding! We often had to stop and re-focus when we realized planning was becoming an unpleasant chore. We made sure to remind each other that the goal is to get married and throw a party to celebrate us....so enjoy talking about what music will be played, what you will wear, and what flowers you'll have, because the Big Day will arrive soon enough.

Married: September 13, 2024

How did you meet? 💕We met on Bumble, the dating app, and quickly after matching had our first date at a local Mexican restaurant.

What moment were you most looking forward to on your wedding day? 💒
Groom: Seeing her come down the aisle and seeing her for the first time
Bride: the alone moment right after the ceremony to where it's OFFICIALLY husband and wife

Why did you choose The Legacy on Possum Run? 😍 We loved how it has so many outdoorsy light and airy aspects, yet still inside so that the rain and elements are held at bay. The Stockpile of amazing decor that is open to use, truly makes the decorating and dream wedding come to life seeing so many different options!!

In a few words describe your theme or style for your wedding: ✨ Airy, dreamy, classy

Is there anything else you think future couples will find interesting/helpful about your wedding? ❤️ Both of our families are 8.5 hours away from Ohio, so finding the perfect venue in this area was so critial to make sure all our families had equal driving to meet us here to celebrate with us!

Do you have any advice for future couples? ✨Take time to romanticize the wedding planning process, even the 'boring' parts, find ways to make it romantic and soak in this stage of your relationship
