With a computer science degree and tech background, my life / work life has never been dull. ⭐️

I’m a natural redhead / turned gray from all this adventuring.. and when people ask if the red or gray is natural, I say YES 🔥🧊

Day 1 of the decade project: Sobbing 😭

Hmm I need to NAME this thing huh. ⭐️👀

Anyway, I’m scrolling and scrubbing through footage and imagery from the first 18 months or so of this 10 year span..

I went as far as 2015 and I lost it.
Werz. 🐾 (2006-2016)

I’ll say right now my favorite year was 2015. Hands down. Heart full. I can die right now. Doesn’t get better than that year.

10 years ago today we were enroute. I’m unpacking a lot ! And damn I didn’t expect to cry this much already. Oof.

10 years ago this month I left my life in New Jersey and set out on the road to California. I was 35.

I didn’t know it then, but I had no idea what I was doing. I sold my Jeep, packed my dog, cat and tokens in a rental van and took one of the biggest leaps / risks of my life moving across the country. 🚙💨

Had a job lined up on American Idol but no place to live and no real plan. I kinda knew a couple people. Looking back, the beginning was lonely and wild !

In preparing to tell this decade long story I’ve decided to do it in REAL TIME. 🎥

So over the course of the following decade, you can be part of my journey while the next 10 years are written in parallel.

I’ll be 55 when we get to this point in the story here today. 📍

You’ll be able to read, watch, listen and follow my comedic love story as it builds, takes off, reaches new heights, crumbles into the deepest dark, and renews.

Why am I doing this ? To share and connect with those of you surrendering to the human condition. To extract the energy in motion (emotion) within YOU - igniting love, passion, the parts of you that want to come out, trauma, loss, grief, healing and.. love again. 💫

I believe this process will be an artistic expression fulfilling a creative craving that’s been burning me alive for several decades.

This truly authentic story will entertain and wow you. Prepare to laugh, fall in love… dance, and sob. It is a musical and emotional RIDE.

It will likely provide some healing for you too. If you’ve been following me this far, I feel you will ultimately enjoy it.

I am excited and terrified. Is there any other way to live ? 😂

Oh and… it won’t be on Facebook / Meta but we start here.

⭐️ When asked about my 14 months in West Monroe, Louisiana my answer is simple - It was the best of times, it was the worst of times… 🎥

A whole new cast, a mostly new crew… the paper mill. 😶‍🌫️ Jersey crossing the bridge 🌈 and a daily adventure with my favorite human. ♥️

That time I worked a little gala with in LA ⭐️

We ended up next to each other the following week at a Live show, and she goes “hey I know you!” To which I replied, “I’m forever your girl.” 💃

She was short.. AND sweet 🤭

The Dizzy Feet Foundation Gala event in 2015 was my first time at the

⭐️ BUT ⭐️ the most interesting memory I have from this *cough* unpaid gig was going downstairs to the dressing rooms and experiencing REAL déjà vu !

Has this EVER happened to you 👀

I had been there in a dream. The familiarity slapped me. I’m talkin I straight up knew the floor plan. Walking down the hall I knew what was around the corner. It was all there. 😯

The funny thing about inspiration is WHEN it shows up.

Inspiration hits different when you are already on the path. If it strikes too early, it’s more likely to be intimidating and even have a reverse effect.

In a recent vlog I went on about Kevin Smith and how the creator world’s landscape is totally evolving…

Case and point - you can buy a movie theater and create your own film festival.

I’m reminded - that over the last 4 years, I rented an art gallery (twice) in the Shore’s art capital Asbury Park, and today a Main Street storefront, to create my own popup shops.

I’m so completely inspired by the journey of the artists and creators around me right now in every facet of art - from making films to making soap!

Keep going. Keep growing. These are signs of Divine Timing.

And I won’t stop writing the stories that I’ll one day tell of this token life…
. maybe at a Kevin Smith film festival - in this great Garden State. ✌️

Stories of tokens. Stories of pride. Stories that make us and break us. And make us again.

One of the first bandana hats I ever made was this one, four years ago!

I’ve carried it from show to show and moved it around at least 80 times. Each time thinking - this is such a dope hat, why has someone not scooped it up by now?

PRIDE. It’s a tricky feeling and I have struggled. I actually took offense when someone would say they were proud of me. Like, why is pride something someone else could have for me, but I didn’t have??

About a decade has passed without any sense of it.

Huge breakthrough last week..

First I wrote the words “I am proud.” Then I finally said it out loud in a vlog, and to two of my biggest supporters…

The next day - this hat sold. ⭐️

I cried. Like ugly sobbing crying. The salty taste of tears from being in my own way.

What am I proud of today? 💫
My resilience and perseverance.
What I’ve built out of nothing. My strength, will, creativity, and SUPPORT. My openness to heal, love and grow.. through my art.. and to keep going.

So I don’t know who needs to hear this today but -

GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY🌻
